Guys, about that adamlambertstorm.com/ website... Is it legit? Do you know who manages it? If I donate, for example, can I be sure my money is going to be used for Adam and only for him? Another thing. I plan to try to request Trespassing on Spain's top 40 and Cadena 100 after the 8th of October, but I don't know if it'll be worth it, since Adam is kind of unkown here. For those who know how this radio business work, should I try? Ok, I just wanted to say I really appreciate all the support for Queen and also for my little Queen thread so I reciprocated. I don't usually do this whole request thing. In fact I never requested a song on the radio in my life...before today. I just hit up my local station for Trespassing. Good luck Adam

I found the video where Nile Rodgers was featured very interesting. What he said must be listened in the context. It was a live discussion at 'Advertising week' on advertising, brands and music. Most of the time he spoke about brands, how they are created over time by finding a signature style and message for the artist and how he tries to attract new audiences by combining elements in a new way and on many levels (in songwriting and producing) the goal being to induce an emotional response. His way of doing it is usually horisontal team work, for a song building it from start to finish, for a career planning to reach new heights. Different in Adam's case was that his job was much more limited, only a guitar part for an existing song described as vertical involvement which he still approached as a team effort and tried to enhance the funk in the song. In view of what was discussed before he had to make a distinction that it was not an example of building a brand.
Involving Adam in this discussion was a sidestep from the topic on host's part which threw Nile a little out of balance and on sidetrack. I think he was being honest and real, maybe wondering should he talk about Idol concept/brand or developing Adam's brand/career which was not the case. It sounded like he was uncomfortable with the show or brands-out-of-a-show (voting out, short span) and decided to get back on track: how his job in this case was done (enhancement) and his reasons for doing it (funk(y) song, knowledge and appreciation of Sam's work). *
I understood he was there to talk about HIS work. He did not actually praise any artist other than Sam which he did because Sam's first album was his reference point to the job (guitar on Shady). (I could make an assumption that he was not that familiar with Adam's work.) Of course it would have been nice to hear him singing Adam's praises - but other artists were not the focus here. In my opinion, this does not diminish in any way his earlier gushing how their working together (Adam being present in the studio) was enjoyable and the song was sick.
* I forgot to mention that he was also apprehensive about this job it being 'vertical' where it might be cut etc and his idea might be lost but happy that it did not happen.

I tweeted messages to OUT and The Advocate magazines to help support Adam's trespassing on radio. It's time IMHO for the LGBT community to help.
There has to be a major ground swell, for that, there is a need for more folks calling and writing to the stations. Who else can we enlist to start this????

Could we have a link to the Brian May best guitar contest on page 1? I would like to vote as often as possible and it is so much easier when not buried in the thread. Also serves as a reminder for those who would like to vote. thanks! That was supposed to be 'Today's match' on Oct 1 ie yesterday. The page did not open after midnight London and I thought it was over. I tried just now and it was there, don't know why.

Is there anything I can do from Spain apart from online voting and requesting? ETA: I feel kinda useless. Yes! Call your local radio station and ask them to play anything by Adam Lambert.
