No, you're right. I don't think there's anyone alive right now who nail Freddie's stage performances better than Adam. It's like the two of them share performance DNA or something!! LOL (but still shudder at any attempts to make Adam look like Freddie!!)
Seoulmate...I love how you described (what I highlighted in blue) the performance styles of Adam and Freddie (shared performance DNA!)...so true! OT I just noticed that the last three comments I posted have me still at 199 posts. That seems to happen alot...oh well...I'll get to 200 sometime. ;D

Just cuz it's Sunday and my brain likes to wander around getting into mischief, I was thinking more about this Adam as Heathcliff idea... I thought that it would be really interesting (and the basic storyline would still work) if they made the Catherine character a man, and Edgar Linton a woman. Everything else could pretty much stay the same, and damn, now wouldn't THAT be a hot story of star-crossed lovers? So glad your brain wandered cause this is something I hadn't thought of, but now that you mention it I'm intrigued! I like the idea and now my brain is wandering too. Yes a hot story indeed!

And stage presentation ---- Adam could nail: Is there another pop star who can descend down Freddie's white staircase, strut on stage with a cane, and grab a stadium audience with his powerful vocals. And who else could rock the crown and cape with authority? If the story is mostly about the private Freddie -- then I say no to Adam. but if the story is as currently described about the rise of Freddie as as superstar and focus mainly on the music and performances. I say Adam could nail it. Well, don't mean to be stirring anything up, but I actually think (though he's somewhat over exposed right now) that, as they seem to be into British comedians, Russell Brand could do a great job with the cane and the staircase and the tight pants, and own it. I kinda loved him as the good-hearted egomaniacal pop star Aldous Snow. There is quite a striking physical similarity in this case--cheekbones, dark eyes, even the lips: (there are probably better photo comparisons but I'm too lazy)the voice, once again, is another matter. Adam will just have to do the dubbing. But YES to a Baz Luhrmann directed Jesus Christ Superstar staring Adam as Judas. That would be all kinds of awesome. (love, LOVE Strictly Ballroom). For that matter, a Baz Luhrmann anything with Adam. And thanks for the good wishes, Seoulmate

I remember something about a relationship with Danny Kaye.

ETA: Loves me some Errol Flynn, MWP; like Cary Grant, gorgeous, funny, charming, self-deprecating – could do drama or comedy. Yep, Adam fits all of the above. YES! Great comparison with Cary Grant. I think I said this once, ages ago, maybe even on PF, but a lot of what I love about Adam reminds me of Cary Grant (and Flynn, too) which is the ability to be goofy and sexy at the same time. Give me a goofy, sexy man and you've won my heart! Completely agree. It's why (in addition to the tights, lol) the Adam as Robin Hood idea was amusing/appealing. Love these gifs
