It will almost certainly count for the week of November 6, 2012. In the past Sony set up the digital version as the bonus, and the physical version as the sold item. It can only count once if it is a bundled sale. ' One way or the other, if Trespassing EP does chart on the Billboard 200 it is more likely to do it in November than mid-October. Even Acoustic Live peaked at #126 (DEC 2010). Remixes did not chart. The digital version IS the bonus. We get that on the 16th, if we pre order the physical CD which does not come out until Nov 6th. Remixes do not chart? I thought you just said they count as the single? Now I am more confused. Does the radio edit chart? If you buy the Trespassing radio edit track, it is counted as a Trespassing track sale. (combined with other Trespassing sales) If you buy the Trespassing (song) remix track, iit is counted as a Trespassing track sale. (combined with other Trespassing sales) If you buy the Trespassing EP, it is counted as a new album separate from the Trespassing album. If you buy a CD+digital bundle, it is counted as one unit -- when the CD is scheduled to be delivered/after shipping. |

I mentioned this yesterday, but it may have been buried in other news . . . My local request station in San Francisco replied to my email, saying . . . "This is verrry early in the cycle of the 'Trespassing' single . . . and we are huge supporters of Adam." I have no idea what this response means. Should I wait and request later? Is it too soon to request? Do they have a schedule I'm unaware of? Is this all preplanned? Clueless! Was this Alice or Star101.3? If Alice, who responded? I received a very nice response - the words are quoted - from Jayn and Uzette. Met them last March; and I truly feel they are sincere. But, as I said before . . . I really am clueless about radio and play and all this shit. |

Looks like they may be timing the big push for Trespassing to be around 10/23/12-early November.
Right now, we have a lot of test plays and contests plus 6 stations who are early adders sprinkled across the US.
It is Adam, I guess that means this track will take 5-6 months to peak on radio -- or I hope so.

did anyone see comments Bri just posted about Queen plans on brianmay.com? why does he have to be so elusive about plans that have to remain under wraps for now? doesn't he know we all are dying to know about any future QAL plans and will take any little hint as a sign? (sorry can't bring over from phone) Probably too early to say but it is very interesting. "We did make some other plans, but they will have to stay under wraps for now." |
