unpopular opinion alert... scroll if you are easily offended by contrary opinions: No one here knows Adam personally, so IMO trying to guess or project what he meant seems inappropriate because it is assigning what you wanted him to mean and not necessarily what he meant. It is basically putting words in Adam's mouth and/or speaking for him. I take what Adam says at face value and unless he comes out with something more specific I don't feel it is my place to assume he's pissed off at Perez or that they aren't friends just because I think Perez is a scumbag. I basically agree with this. I don't like seeing words put in Adam's mouth or feelings put in Adam's head, but I don't see anything wrong with speculating about what he meant as long as there is an "I think..." or a "My impression is..." or a "To me, it sounds as if he's saying..." qualifying the conjecture; in other words, making it clear that the meaning is simply being inferred by the poster. Now, to me, the separation of the words "radiate love," when they were not separate in Perez's post, sounds as if Adam is saying, "Are you kidding me, bro? Who are you to talk about love after the way you ran to the press and gleefully blabbed an exaggerated story that made me look bad?" but I could be wrong, so I'm not going to say, "Man, Adam really put the smack down on Perez!" I'm not assuming anything, just giving my impression of the tweet. Isn't everything we say here, besides interviews and photos, just our opinion?! |

Right! To which the reply is, Carrie is a Country star. It was a Country awards show. Why would anyone expect Steven to be singing with Adam? I wouldn't expect Adam to be there, but didn't expect Steven, either. Steven & Carrie make me think AI and then I think Adam and then I think I want Adam on that stage. I'm not saying it makes sense. |

Alright...I give up.....apologies...I assumed the question was a general one thrown out to the universe, not specific to the Country Awards Show.....sorry... Heading to RL ... I sense one of those days a-coming... hugs all Yes, it was a general comment that arose because of the show, not meaning to insinuate that he should have been on THAT show. Heading to RL too...!!! |

There is a difference between having our opinions about Adam, his music, his clothes, his friends, etc., and making assumptions about Adam's opinions. Unless he states them clearly, we don't know what his opinions are. I would hate to have anyone here tell me how I feel about something when I haven't said it myself, and I don't think we should do that to Adam. |

I really enjoyed Carrie's performance last night with S. Tyler, but it always makes me a little bit sad that people aren't knocking down Adam's door to perform, when he has one of the most incredible voices around today. What's the matter with them, damn it???!!! >:( ( I feel better now, after my little whine.....  )Funny - I was about to post and ask what Atops think about why Adam is not scheduled for any appearances or performances. His new album will not be out till Oct/Nov. After the wild success of the GNT, he could certainly fill venues of around 10,000. What about special concerts; like LA, East Coast, North, South and middle of the country? Apart from the fans, he is not in the public eye at all. I would love to hear what Q3 and other Atops think about the lack of exposure. |

I am totally amazed that there are people who believe that Adam was genuinely asking PerASS a questions rather than making a bitch slap. Adam follows PerASS. He saw the prior tweets that leave no question as to the subject matter being discussed. No question necessary.

Carrie was the Country star for the Country music awards.  Steven ws the big star. As much as I love Adam, he has not reached Steven Tyler status, YET! You expect reason where Adam is concerned?? LOL I think the quality of his voice should bend the rules...and I'm sticking to my story. ;D ETA: Also, I wasn't saying Adam should have been the one on the awards show last night, just that I wish he would get some exposure of this type....somewhere....somehow....just daydreamin'. I know what you mean. And I know he will soon, he will be getting all kinds of exposure - and I'm not talking about at his pool or party gossip. The music's coming, "pieces" fitting together, there'll be promotions, appearances, etc. when the album rollout begins in the FALL - it'll be ADAMstorm Part Deux. (I'm looking forward to album photo shoot rumors and I hope he gets some more magazine spreads, layouts, whatever they're called. I love it when Adam models with really imaginative photographers - he follows LaChapelle now, right, tweeters? Maybe he'll be photographing Adam.) |
