It would be lovely if Kanadie or Nationglampoon could fill us in on the technical, but the way I understand it is that the vocals are recorded separately, anyway, so this person probably has the technical proficiency & equipment to just "pull out" the vocal.
And it blew my mind last night. It totally mesmerized me!! I would love to watch the recording process for one song. Fascinating!
