I really like the Ferras & Katy Perry video.Thank you for posting it. OT- 17 years ago today Kurt Cobain committed suicide. He was very talented, honest and a bit too fragile for this whole fame thing. He was one of my idols growing up. RIP Kurt Cobain www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS4Oo3sx-YY

I just love his smiles. I am particularly fond of the Dust in The Wind smile. I was thinking as I watched the SMILE video that if the only time I had EVER seen Adam was while he was performing DUST IN THE WIND, I would still be in love, figuratively speaking, with him.

unless this person is privy to every single artists' song writing sessions or whatever this is a ridiculous statement to make. Plenty of these pop artists write on their songs. No they probably aren't writing the majority of the song (ie melody/music)but they are contributing which means they should get co-writing credit. I really detest these self-righteous/self-aggrandizing douchebag snobs who clearly look down on pop artists. [/rant]

Someone mentioned TWITTER a little earlier. Mine has been weird for a few days now, displaying the box to type a message, but not the "140," that lets you know you can send a tweet. I keep refreshing and sometimes it comes back eventually, but sometimes, like today, it doesn't. Everything else looks normal, can receive tweets, but can't reply, retweet, or just post a tweet. Tried old and new Twitter, doesn't seem to matter. Any suggestions?

I have a question concerning the following article - have not seen it discussed here: mrmokelly.com/2011/04/why-you-and-i-shouldnt-root-for-jacob-lusk-to-win-american-idol/"Presently, the winner and runner-up are required to sign an exclusive management contract with 19 Entertainment (a producer of American Idol) and variations of that agreement (for lesser money) are also offered to top finalists. The key distinction is “offered” versus “required.” "What most people don’t know is that the contracts for the winner and runner-up lock them into a 7-year deal, more than twice that of any average, first-time management contract." I have read that Adam had his contract safe weeks before the AI finale, so does anyone know - Q3?? - whether Adam had really to sign such an oppressive contract?

Carla, I am not Q3, but I would say that Adam has signed for 7 years and 5 albums. That's what Kelly Clarkson has done, so far. As far as we know, Adam did not know that RCA wanted him so early in the competition. The way I read ED's comment about it is that RCA knew and TPTB knew, but Adam didn't know he'd have a contract until Top 2.
I was just checking Adam's songs on ASCAP and look at what he wrote!! I did not know he wrote the Tribal Segment of the Tour. Now, since there are no lyrics, that means he did the music!
LAMBERT ADAM Society: ASCAP IPI No. 606304483 1 . BROKEN OPEN (Work ID: 881025659) 2 . DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE (Work ID: 880805467) 3 . PICK U UP (Work ID: 881025660) 4 . STRUT (Work ID: 880594914) 5 . TRIBAL SEGMENT (Work ID: 882772226) 6 . VOODOO (Work ID: 881427437)
