Actually, Angelina identified Adam as a leggiero tenor way back when. And I never debate that lady when it comes to topics about the voice. Characteristics that point to Adam being a leggiero tenor include: 1. The bright, clear, crisp ring tho his voice 2. The lightness of his tone, yet with power 3. The right, baritone quality we hear in his low register 4. His range: leggiero tenors' top note is higher than they lyric tenor. It is often quoted as an E5. Of course, Adam's range extends even higher than that, so he is a leggiero Plus. 5. The confusion of thinking the head voice is actually falsetto, when it is not. 6. The flexibility and lightness that allows for extended, complicated riffs or runs. Reading the info about teaching a leggiero tenor, it is clear that Adam got some very good coaching over the years in order to make the most out of his voice type. |
