One thing I like - no, that I love! - about Adam's performances is that each one is different and has a different vibe - he does not do "cookie-cutter" shows - compare this one to some of his more recent performances such as Live at the Vineyard and Texas Tango - each one is unique and performed under different circumstances, but each one is very special in its own right. Those attending these shows can come away knowing they experienced something very special and unique (especially Momtomany at Napa!).
This Capetown performance gives a look into what is to come as he develops his next tour - everything from the schtick of the straight jacket to the poignant and sublime Underneath. I'm happy to see Terrance and Johnny together with Adam in this show - and while I don't have the musical ear of some of you, I do like the back-up singers (I've experienced them twice live) and I think they add a fullness to his performances.
Adam is definitely on his way as a consummate performer and artist. As Simon Cowell said on Idol, he was looking for a world class performer and he thinks he had one in Adam - so whatever one thinks about Simon, he was right about that!
