He gets lots of kudos for doing covers, but not for his own songs....don't get it!!!!! IKR! But look at the positive side. Since most aren't aware of his music, at least he is getting exposure and just maybe people might check him out, like what they hear, and when a tour begins, they just might buy. His name is being kept out there in the music industry...so yeah |

And that's all I wanted to say. I kinda NEEDED to say this, after reading a handful of posts from Tuesday to today which implied that some people weren't happy about what I and other Atopers had said about this or that performance. This is something I needed to get out of my chest because I was feeling pretty bad over it, that's all. His name is being kept out there in the music industry...so yeah Willie Nelson finally broke through after years of trying with a cover (Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain) followed up by a whole album of covers (Stardust). Another who followed an unorthodox path with an unorthodox sound ... the covers finally got people to listen to him. |

I love and I mean LOVE when our atop members who know music post. I have learned so much about HOW Adam sings. I am still wondering about a statement made yesterday about how difficult it was for Adam to sing the descending scale in Fame. Anyone what to expand on that? I am all ears about why it is difficult. I thought the person said it was because it spans 2 octaves :-/ And at the same time singing melody.. right? |
