In In Sixty interview, Adam said that he went into his own Studio 54. What did he mean?

So.. that Category 8 is the 'Best Pop Vocal Album' The key point here is Vocal.. which is nice.. Hope he can get nominated.. I'm praying on my hands on my knees w fingers toes crossed He certainly deserves it.. I mean.. Who can out 'sang' our boy in the mainstream music industry now??? No matter recorded or live.. he blows everyone out of water easily On the other hand.. I do hope he get nominated 'Best Pop Album' as well though almost no chance.. .. again FUCK radio Best Pop Album is the same as Best Pop Vocal Album  |

The Grammys have 4 Pop genre awards....Adam was submitted in two Pop categories: 1. Best Pop Solo Performance - This is for a recorded single track, Adam/BTIKM was submitted. 2. Best Pop Duo/Group Performance - Adam is not qualified in this category. 3. Best Pop Instrumental Album - Adam is not qualified in this category. 4. Best Pop Vocal Album - Adam/Trespassing was submitted in this category. It is the category that he is most likely to be nominated in.Radio has little to do with who wins the Best Vocal Album - and the voters are singers, producers, songwriters and label execs, recording industry representatives, not radio. Some winners and nominees in this category have included hit radio singles, others did not. A couple examples..... Duffy Rockferry won in 2009 -- and Mercy was a very modest hit single in the US with little or no airplay. Elvis Costello and Allen Toussaint – The River in Reverse was nominated in 2008 and the album peaked at #103 on the US Billboard 200 charts. ETA: Adam certainly has a chance to get nominated -- IMO there is nothing certain about this, one way or the other. Adam had a #1 album this year, it got good to great reviews, it is beautifully sung, it involves a whos-who of Grammy voters and their friends, it was released by RCA/Sony. It will certainly get votes, the only question is if it will end up in the top 5. I am staying in the "I will be thrilled if Adam/Trespassing is nominated, but I will not be crushed if it is not nominated." Not taking a roller coaster ride on this one. The Grammy voters are just too unpredictable. |
