This conversation on facial hair is fascinating. I also thought when I saw Adam's look here; he is in competition mode, doing the opposite, standing out.....but based on the culture's preference for clean shaven, could this work against him? When in Rome..... I am not as taken by the look and performance as others are. I don't think the dancers added much. Where are their typically awesome moves? But as with most award show performances, they are often kind of weird. I am a bit surprised that Adam did not seem that familiar with K-Pop. Psy, really? But he made up for it with his reference to Big Bang wardrobe

I've heard it's a cultural thing. There are not many asian artists with facial hair. I checked yesterday on Asian's views of facial hair. Whether or not it is taboo. If you look at ancient pictures many of the warriors had facial hair, but in the form of a goatee that was really long. I don't think Asian men have the capability of growing facial hair. It is sparse and wirey, as they have very coarse hair. So if I had been Adam, I would have stayed away from the facial hair in Asia. But Adam is Adam, and always looking for a new look. I much prefer a hairless face on him and for all the focus to be on his mane. There are 48 countries in Asia, from Afghanistan to Yemen. As far as I remember, there's nothing in Asia said facial hair's taboo. And yes just like in Europe or US, some men can grow facial hair some don't, many Asian men have the capability of growing facial hair, from moustache to beard and many of them has similar facial hair as Adam now. If we want to pick the VERY famous person in the world, take a look at Sultan Brunei, Hasanal Bolkiah. In some countries such as Afghanistan, facial hair for men are encouraged. I think it just a matter of preferences. ;D IMO, Adam can have any kind of facial hair as he wants in Asia, he's not going to offense anybody. And I think he looked distinctive, different, and set himself apart with his voice, his look, and his music. I can't see Adam doing anything, in Rome or otherwise, lol, just so he can be one of the herd. It ain't his style. Basically the REALADAMLAMBERT doesn't "fit in" anywhere. He's his own zip code thank goodness. I give his performance and the Red Carpet A+++, JMHO

You know imho it doesn't matter if Adam has a melvin, is wearing Blonde, or has great boots. There is only one description that I think fits him. He is ADAM.. He owns whatever space he is in. I HAVE to watch every thing he does walk, talk or sing several times (ok lots and lots of times  ) [/color]because on the first look I'm too busy trying to remember how to breathe.

I love this jacket, OK I love all his jackets, but especially this one because it is a very modern and rocker take on the cutaway. It is the first one here and is formal day wear. With Adam we get wool, leather, and zippers and a leather ascot(ish). It's just brilliant and with the white (I am sure in my mind) silk lining, we also get to see legs from top to bottom. Yum.
