OK Gelly, do you have the pic of Adam with the brown leather jacket and wearing the brown boots? It never gets enough love either. I love his jackets & love the 2 vests he's worn.....

I find it interesting that Adam's comments about AI this year have focused on vocals and praise of those with more talent in that area. I don't remember what if anything he tweeted about Season 9, but when he mentored, he praised everyone's singing, but called out those who failed to focus on performance and emotion and energy onstage. What is interesting is this new focus in light of what he has said about his own creative process for album #2-- more about the voice. Sounds like he's staying true to his theme. I’m not sure if it is a conscious change of his opinion or not, but there’s no doubt that Adam’s vocals are what make him unique in the music world. It’s what should be front and center for him. Sure, his look, his stage presence, his movement, his vision, are a huge part of what make him so entertaining on stage, but it is his voice that stands out as second to none. He truly can sing anything and I believe that his tone and technique can elevate an average song to be more than it could have been in the hands of a lesser vocalist. And live he’s another story. Electrifying on stage, yes, but no one…. And I mean no one sings live like he does. Very few can pull off sounding better live than recorded, but he is exponentially better live. Better than anyone I’ve heard live and I’ve heard plenty. It’s scary, really. I gotta go with this one - there were times during the concert when I just stood there with my mouth open - did he just sing that, live, while dancing... LOL |
