I think there are some who are worried about duet partners who don't have the chops to match Adam which means being good team player he is, that he holds back so as not to overshadow them. There are heaps of people I would LOVE to see Adam do a duet with (men and women) - I think there is a list floating around here somewhere or might be on old site... Aurea obviously has a great voice (the last big note aside where she seemed to just pick one out of thin air), there are no shortage of really good singers out there. Sadly not too many of them make top 40 music ;D Top of my list would be for Adam to duet with Bowie on a rerelease of Under Pressure - perhaps with proceeds going to AIDS charities or something because it would be a smash. Adam and KD Lang in a duet on Hallelulah would be nirvana. Just to name two personal fantasies.

I love it when Adam does duets. 8-) 1) By the way, is someone from Atop (or someone we know) going to the Cindy Lauper gig? Can we hope for some videos? I guess we won't get a stream this time, but I'm sure he's going to sing with a bunch of great people and I HAVE to see that. #EntitledFan 2) Does someone have the Lambertized-Psy gif? I can't find it.

maddie and iilove, thank you very much for your insights! SO interesting. And I was not never worried . Just curious how people would reflect that kind of performance. When saying it explicit, I did not mean explicit as sexual but just gay. I am happy to hear that China is onemore country in progressing to normalize (is this a word? #brokenenglish ) homosexuality.

I had to respond to this post, 'cuz it brought back such a fond memory.
That was me! haha! Way back at the beginning of my interaction with @alidol on weibo, I was mistaken her for a boy 'cuz her weibo profile stated "male". Boy! what a field day we had on the board that day discussing about her gender. [/IMG] Then, I had t o "confront" her after all those lovely PMs conversations, it's like, "hey, we've been chatting quite a bit but are you a girl or boy?" I was waiting for her to say, "either way, I'm taken!" [/IMG] Till this day, she still hasn't bothered to change the gender setting on her weibo to "female", I think she gets a big kick out of it. Anyway, she's truly a gem, not only as a glambert but a person!
She has been a true contributor to all Adam fans outside China. It has been such a fun ride, and we had missed a great deal of it without her! I hope she knows this!
AWW - @alidol has just posted a picture of her autograph from ADAM - sooo happy for her  :2tears: :2tears:

I just finished skimming thru yesterday's thread and I wanna bring some perspective into the discussion re Adam's crotch-grabbing and the possible "consequence" (cancelled interviews).
Live concert performances in China have more leeways than on national TV, which is the same pretty much else where in the world as well. For the foreign acts, the biggest concern the Chinese government has, or really cares about, is them criticizing Chinese internal affairs or taking an opposite stance on sensitive political issues. Elton John recently had 2 concerts in China, the one in Beijing might just have been his last concert in China.
"At the end of the show, Sir Elton stunned his audience when he said he was dedicating the show to Weiwei. He said he was there to give tribute to Weiwei’s ‘honour and talent’.
A state-owned newspaper accused the veteran British singer of being ‘disrespectful’ and said his actions could lead to a ban on other Western performers putting on shows in China.
The Global Times, a paper run by the ruling Communist Party’s People’s Daily, said in an editorial: ‘John’s unexpected action was disrespectful to the audience and the contract that he signed with the Chinese side,
‘He forcibly added political content to the concert, which should have been nothing more than an entertaining performance.’
The prominent sculptor (Weiwei), 55, is a noted critic of the communist regime."

And, we all know Adam is not into politics let alone foreign politics, well, except what he genuinely believes in and matters to him. So, as long as he doesn't start shouting "Tibet, Tibet" at the end of his performance like Bjork did, he can shake his little sexy ass and grab his GB all he wants! ;D
ETA: but no "my ass", it's "my yeah"... something has to give if you wanna do global business.
Thank you for the interesting information and background! I hadn't even thought of this angle. Thanks for the info. And, I don't think Adam did anything to get his hands slapped over -- MJ grabbed his crotch, Rhianna grabs hers -- both hang on for awhile. It's a gesture that I don't really understand, none of us walk around in public with our hands on our crotch but it seems okay for performers to do it on stage. Oh well. Personally, I'm glad to see the bendy, dancy part of Adam back on stage. He seems free again.
