Congratulations Stardust on the 20 lbs loss! You're getting there, bit by bit. Checking in while away for a family visit. Lost 1.8 lbs this past week, in spite of the icecream I had the last 2 days! So pleasantly surprised and encouraged. Did get quite a few walks in this past week, so that's probably helping. My right foot is hurting right now, so hope that goes away. Once I'm back home on the weekend, I want to start adding to my regular walk and at least build up to an hour, from 45 minutes. Curling season will also be starting next week, so I'll be doing that twice a week as well. Rihannsu, was it you that had the Fitbit? You just carry it around in your pocket? I'm thinking of getting one next time I find it on sale somewhere, interested in knowing how much I actually do on my walks and when I go curling. Wishing you all a great week! Hope you land some work soon Juniemoon! I have the Fitbit One which is in a clip. I usually clip it on to my bra strap near the cup. You can clip it at your waist or wear it in your pocket but I think it's best to find a consistent spot to wear it as positioning can affect how accurately it counts your steps. There are other models the newest being the Flex which is mounted in a wrist band and you can get different colors. That one is waterproof so you can wear it swimming but it doesn't have a display on the unit itself so you can only see your results once you sync it to the website. The One has a display you can look at on the unit so a more real time assessment is possible. Like when you have to park out in BFE of the parking lot you can console yourself by seeing how many steps you got as you finally make it to the entrance of the building. LOL

Up again about .6 lbs. September was not great for my weight loss but I did still manage to lose 1.4 lbs over the month. Yoyo was my name. LOL

Thanks for the info about the Fitbit, Rihannsu, I'm going to keep my eye out for a sale on that. Sorry you had a "yoyo" week!
I'm up too this week, 1.4 lbs. but I'm not really surprised after my family visit. It took me a few days to get back into eating less than I had been for several days. No family visits or special events coming up this month so should be able to get more consistent weight loss. This does give me an idea of how much "extra" I can eat without gaining weight back, and it won't be a lot. I'll continually have to stay aware of what I'm eating through the course of the day once I've achieved my goal weight, so to help me do that I'll probably continue to check in here on a weekly basis.
It's been raining lots here lately so it's harder to find the opportunity to go. Went on Monday and got soaked, went this morning and it was spitting as well, but not too bad. We're supposed to get a sunny day tomorrow but I'll be at curling for the first game of the season. Staying positive, hope you are too!

Well, I was up 0.4 lb this week, but not surprised. I lost 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks and knew it would catch up on me sooner or later. Didn't do much exercising either, so have to work on that.
I found something tasty at Trader Joe's. It is Miso Ginger Broth and it was very good warmed and just to drink. Would be good for soup, too. Only 15 cal/cup.

Interesting that we're ALL up this week! Hopefully that'll mean we're all going to be down at our next check-in day!

Monday - AvocadoOnce reviled for their high fat content (22 grams) avocados have regained favor as a good source of glutathione, an antioxidant that improves overall hormone function. _ (AARP The Magazine) .......tossing out chappy bait....... Wish I could figure out how to keep a cut avocado from turning brown. If I leave the seed in and put it in a baggy I can keep some of it green for a day. I like it on sandwiches and in salads but usually 1/2 of one is enough for just little ol' me.

I don't worry about the brown as it doesn't seem to affect the flavor. That is not the same brown as when you have a bad spot. The bad spots usually also have a change in texture.

Tuesday - Custom Water BottleWell this would be fun. Amazon Local is advertising $11 to put whatever pic you want on your own personalized water bottle from CafePress. I think we need to photoshop some appropriate options. local.amazon.com/boise/B00FN0CHVW
