My friend who likes K-Pop has sent me this video of one of the most popular shows in Korea, Running Man (it has won a lot of awards and everything, and people love it). They used Trespassing right at the beginning of the video for a few seconds: www.dailymotion.com/video/k2fN1qhAuPDkEw3K2xrShe also told me that there was a video of a member of the group EXO who was caught singing Cuckoo at an airport. lol The video was taken down, but she couldn't wait to tell me. She's half Glambert now, haha. She says everyone was asking in the comments of the video: "What is he singing?" And she was like: "CUCKOOOOO, HE'S SINGING CUCKOOOOOO!!!!" ETA: Videos from Daily Motion are supposed to embed now, right? This one didn't.

COSMOPOLITAN RUSSIA | Adam Lambert "I was an outcast"http://bit.ly/TdwLd4 via @CosmopolitanRus
Google translation:
Adam Lambert - a longtime friend Cosmo.ru. Eighteen months ago, when the singer performed at the festival Maxidrom, we have prepared a special video interview for our readers . And on the eve of spring concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Adam met without cameras, but open up.
Adam, when you realize that you wanted to become a singer? Somewhere in the nine years it started. I was an energetic kid with a lot of ideas and a desire to speak - well, almost unbearable. My parents tried to put me into the sport, but I do not really like it. Then they tried to get me something else, where I would spend my energy. As a result, my house was the theater.
In what setting you first came on the scene? I felt at that moment? I played the role of Linus in the musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" (Famous American statement of the late 60's based on the comic strip by Charles Schulz.. - Ed.). I loved the feel of a live audience. Moreover, an important point was that the first time I was in the company of children, with whom we had a lot in common. They were artistic and creative. For the first time, I felt that I have friends, company. In the middle grades, in 12-14 years, I began to have difficulty with communication in the school. I had a few friends, I have been to some extent an outcast, a loner. But on Saturday, when I went to rehearse in the theater, I was perfectly happy - there were all my friends. And this was the musical theater. I continued to do this in high school and after school, played in professional musical productions in Los Angeles. It was difficult, if only because there are few musical theater and so little work, after all primarily located in New York.

Plagiarism and deceptive reporting seems to be a world-wide phenomenon. This is actually a translation of the wonderful Chinese TV interview. I recognize the questions and the content of the answers even tho it has been translated to Russian and back to English. If they were going to steal someone's interview, this was a good one, but.... :

I really like Adele. Her voice, her songs, her corky British humour ( based on one interview that I saw - so I can't really call myself a fan) all appeal to me. Most importantly, I value her for becoming so successful without using her womanly attributes in a fashion that all female singers do nowadays. Also, Adele doesn't dance, she just stands (sits/walks) and sings. Who would have thought, that you can sell millions without shaking your tushy (not that I have anything against shaking tushies, provided it's talented)... It pleases me as a woman and restores my faith in humanity (it really does).
That would also be one similarity between Adam and her that I see; both of them defy the odds, don't fit the mold, and since I'm a die hard Adam fan, it makes me appreciate her a little more. Why am I not a die hard Adele fan? With her, you know what you get. The sound, the vibe, the colour of her voice are predictable. You can say: "I'm in the mood for Adele" and just play her, no surprises. If you get bored, or sleepy, at one point you can doze off without risking being woken up, I guarantee. Whereas Adam is everything but predictable. He surprises and grabs attention, demands focus and doesn't allow dosing off. The variations of all sorts stretch throughout his albums as wholes and within individual songs as well. He easily sails through genres and singing styles and that inclusive energy and all-encompassiveness are his biggest assets. Arguably, they are his biggest flaw - whoever said here that Adam is too good for his own good was probably right.
Yesterday I listened to Skyfall once, twice... I really liked it. In the middle of the third time, all it did is bring me back to Adam and his songs. I felt the urge to revisit Loaded Smile, Can't Let You Go, Broken Open... So I made a playlist, combining them with similar songs from "Trespassing", like Broken English, Chokehold, Take Back, Nirvana... Oh boy! He took me to a higher plane, I have to say. I was newly and freshly amazed, shocked, stunned and all the other things related to a bona fide cathartic experience. Those are Songs, with capital S. I honestly believe that Can't Let You Go is a masterpiece, for example. Skyfall pales in comparison to it.
Who would have thought, that after all these years, it is not only his voice, his performance skills nor his sex appeal that got me glued to my seat - in my case, that glue is his music and his songs. I will never ever flinch in the face of FOOs waving with sales, numbers, legacies and what not as evidence of anyone's superior quality. Even disregarding Adam's natural charisma and killing performance style, his Songs are outstanding in such a way that doesn't allow doubt or second guessing. I wish that no fan of his, or even Adam himself, let that doubt sneak upon them. I wish that Adam never takes scissors and chops off all those rivulets, contours and ornaments of his that so lavishly fall outside the expected circle in order to fit; because his shape is that of a multi-pointed star and I see those points, embrace them and love him for them. The predictability of a circle is for squares. I want my sun to have rays.
ETA/ How redundant would it be now, on scale from 1 to 5, to say that I can't wait for Album #3? Squee!!!!

Heh heh, your avi reminded me of Adam's tongue sticking out when he sang. Was that the point? LOL! He doesn't do it anymore. Or at least if he does he turns his head so it isn't noticeable. Somebody somewhere must have said something to him. Funny, but I kind of miss that. lol He still sticks his tongue out whenever he sings high notes. The vocal experts can probably explain this way better, but as far as I know it's a proper technique classically trained singers use to hit high notes.
ETA: Lulu, I'm so sorry... How horrible... Yup. To access high notes with maximum resonance and minimum tension, singers are sometimes taught to position their tongue flat on the bottom of their mouth with the tip just behind the bottom teeth or the bottom lip. Adam just extends it forward even more. This increases the amount of openness at the back of the mouth and throat. And, yes, he still does it.
