I don't know the proper term for this. But the so called 'microphone reflection' is when you sing to a mic, some times if your breathing is explosive it will get reflected on the mic. It is that we hear the singer's explosive breathing through the microphone. I get it. I'll have to go back and listen again. This is making the rounds of music teachers I know. I love the tempo/expression marking. This actually made me LOL. As in actually laughing out loud in front of my computers. My dogs wondered "WTF?" I have to forward this to every musician I know!

QUOTE: "It's just a discussion. I don't think people are disrespecting her."
Well, I find it to be pretty offensive that she should be "mime singing" or doing "synchronized swimming" or something, or to offer that she shouldn't sing her OWN national anthem and leave it to others like Kelly. Imagine it's Adam and not Beyoncé on the receiving end. BTW, these high profile artists don't always respond to rumors. Have a good night. I seriously don't remember reading those comments you're quoting. I guess I missed them. Babe, I think you're overreacting. The news are all over the internet, it's only natural that people would comment on it. There's no disrespect towards Beyoncé, we all know she has one of the best voices in pop music. I confess, she is quoting my post..... sorta. I was railing against the principle of lipsyncing live performances in general. I thought I made that clear in my post. I started with a defense of Beyonce choosing to lipsync. Then, I countered with my objections to lipsyncing in general, even in music videos. I stand by those objections. If ANYONE is going to fake singing to a prerecorded track, what is the point of performing live at all? Why not just play the track and dance or swim or twirl flaming batons or show pictures instead? If I want to hear prerecorded music, I'll turn on my iPod. If I go to see/hear a live performance, that's what I want. LIVE. (TBH, I wish that concerts didn't use backing tracks at all. I want to see all the instrumentation and vocals live. But I accept that it is not economically feasible to do that at times.) I had not watched the video of Beyonce when I wrote that. I was just being snarky about lipsyncing, and I stated I was being snarky. Now that I have viewed the video, I don't think she was actually lipsyncing. It sounded like she was singing live with a prerecorded instrumental track. What I saw quoted in the media was about the BAND not playing live on the SSB. I think the media may have jumped to conclusions about Beyonce based on that.

Thanks Soaked!! Still getting used to the new posting.. B-|
Beyonce's Inauguration Lip-Sync: Is It Really a Big Deal?http://blbrd.co/142pMFQ I think this new system doesn't take any extra codes in youtube. In this case, for example, you youtube link is www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEt6zE3prNA&feature=youtu.be
The bold part is the extra code that I took off to make it work.
Thanks!!
