Thanks, mys*&@^#r50. I never bothered to look up the article the commenter was supposedly quoting. Maybe something was lost in translation. Anyway, I don't get the "Adam Lambert-esque" term. I realize it wasn't Matt who coined the term, but his publisher. What does that mean? Is it good or bad? Since the original question was "not good ideas", makes me wonder. I also don't quite understand why Matt thinks Soaked was a "not good idea". I think what Matt meant was that is was a throwback 80s piece of composing which did not fit their current stylistic direction. Even though Muse can be theatrical, Soaked was VERY theatrical, in other words, "Adam Lambert-esque". And only AFL can pull that off without looking / sounding ridiculous Interesting private observation - when my wife hears "Soaked", she calls it "that 80s East German hospital soap opera music". When we were kids, we watched a few of these series on TV and she feels the Soaked has the same overly dramatic feel... :D

Nobody is as complementary as Adam to other artists. Maybe it has to do with they are so into themselves, and in to making their success the No 1 issue in the competative music environment that god forbid a mere utterance of a compliment would make their career suffer. Also Adam is gay and maybe a good portion of another singer's fanbase may leave because of their support for Adam. I was just reading an article and it was saying how Taylor Swift, was going into meltdown because she lost to Adele at the Golden Globes, she had her love life made fun of at the GG and also Michael J. Fox stated she should stay away from his son. Her good friend Selena Gomez was becoming more distant and the other idol contestant(blonde from NC - name escaping me now), who toured with her was now married, and therefore a little more distant. So Taylor Swift since she has few friends was going into meltdown. I believe this business perpetuates a nomads life, with the crew becoming their temporary friends. Not the greatest nurturing environment, so I can see why so many singers are so egocentric, constantly worrying about themselves and their careers. Adam has a huge support system and friends and extended family, he can afford to be so generous. I think even if he didn't have the support he would still support other artists. Nature of the beast. Nobody is as complementary as Adam to other artists.
I totally agree. I notice that there are a couple of artists who compliment Adam in response to him complimenting them, e.g. Demi Lovato or Gavin DeGraw, but it's pretty rare when an artist publicly flails over Adam totally unsolicited. Right now, the only ones I can think of is Meatloaf and Robbie Williams. Are there any others? I guess Katy Perry in a way since she wore that cape that said "Adam Lambert" while he was still on Idol.

Well, what was that all about? I went to respond to stardust's post and pic, and it's posted a reply of her pic! Obviously I don't know what I'm doing with this new format! What I wanted to do was say that I don't think Adam is falling off the seat; I think the 'performers' ( ) are on the bench, and Adam is sitting on the square cocktail table! And having a ball!! Oh, how I love happy, sexy, let-loose Adam!!!
