He doesn't deserve to perform at the Grammy? Teddy, he has one song out now in 4 years, and now he gets to perform at the Grammy's??? I feel there are a lot of people who haven't performed who should, but don't get invited. I just feel there should be some equitability and not the same peeps all the time. Also JT has performed many times before. My sense of equtability and justice. Has nothing to do with his worthiness. Just find it interesting, he puts one song out and bam grammy performance. The Grammy's are not gonna miss the opportunity to have him perform on the show now that he's back. It's just the way it is. Plus, they owe him big time for bailing them out of the Chris Brown/Rihanna fiasco in 2009 We all would like to have Adam perform at the Grammy. I don't know what it takes to get him on there |

I remember feeling there was a great injustice when Gynneth Paltrow performed on the Grammy's. She wasn't even a nominee but sang with Cee Lo on his grammy-nominated song. That was the year Adam was nominated and I felt he deserved to be singing there more than she did. |

You know what I would like to see...as a social experiment. I would like to see JT take a man, as a date, to those Grammy's and to come out proud and open as gay....and then see what happened to the reception he received. It would have to be seen as credible...with him willing to interview about why he kept it secret and now how he as decided to be completely open and honest.
JT is probably the only male singer that could pull it off and it would put to rest all the bs about how it isn't the GAY that is the issue, OR he would single-handedly CHANGE the radio landscape.
This has nothing whatsoever to do with JT and his deserving of the grammy spot and inevitable radio play, it is about forcing either the truth or change in radio-land. Nor, of course, does it have anything to do with Justin's sexuality...but I do think he is the only current celebrity with the cred and possibly the guts to carry something like that off. Not that he will or would....but it would be really great to see....
Because it is not enough to claim to have had a crush on a man or even an affair....there has to be clear evidence of sexual activity...open...not suggested in song lyrics or with a wink...
just a random thought...

I think this Aura thing is current, connected with Adam and there are new developments in the mess. However much it might have been discussed before, IMO new members need some info on the matter. I am glad some of you share your views - hopefully in a way that is not too emotional but based on some things (canon facts perhaps?) that you have learned being in the fandom for a lengthy period. I personally have only curiosity and a general desire to be informed - no other interest in the matter. As someone with a degree in history, the quieting of past events in order to avoid bringing up unpleasant times or heated discussion is disturbing, especially when the relevance of history is proving itself in this matter. I know that seems blown up but this is Adam's and the fandom's past, there is no reason to keep new fans without information relevent to present issues. Directing people to a dead, closed thread to weed thru tons of pages to get the basic facts is certainly prohibitive. It may not be glittery and golden but scars make you who you are and there's a dark and a light side to all aspects of life, including Adam's. I personally want to see underneath the golden to the whole man as well as have history guide people in the decisions of today. But you guys probably know my opinion by now, and I respect that this isn't really a public meeting place, so i'll shut up now. Just wanted to acknowledge belle. |
