As far as I can tell, Jordin is still under contract to 19 Recordings and 19 Merchandising but no longer managed by them.
Adam is free of 19 Entertainment except for Merchandising which I cannot figure out. Adam has not been managed by them since he switched to DMG.
ETA: Artists usually donate their time but have all expenses covered when they to charity performances. So the band and tech crew and travel/lodging expenses are covered. For example, Adam donated his time for the Queenbert Kiev concert. Adam was almost certainly paid to do VH1 Divas.

Just reading that the proposed federal immigration plan unveiled by Obama will provide amnesty for illegals, but also allow for US citizens with same sex partners to obtain a visa for the same sex partner. Once a visa is obtained, the natural progression is then a permanent resident card (green card) and ultimately citizenship once you have jumped thru the hoops. This is good news. Whether it will pass will be another issue.

Q ~ maybe the Chinese Glamberts will put out the money and buy Trespassing. Don't we all love to spend money on Adam and his music? Just a thought........ Oh, I agree. That must be what Sony thinks. I just added the info about market size for perspective. But more important, Adam getting released in China is a big deal within the industry. Very few US Artists have album releases in China and usually it is just digital. And, as far as I can determine, Adam is the first Idol with a China release. This makes me very excited for Trespassing -- it's a great piece of work and I'm glad it's getting more exposure. I was suprised to see the list of the FEW artist that have been given a musical release in China. This seems like a huge deal to me. YAY!

Q3, Kelly Clarkson is the first and the only other Idol who has had official album releases in China as well: Breakaway and Stronger (which was released in last Aug.).

In addition to IFPI's 2011 reports which quoted by Q3 already, here are a few things about Chinese music industry and Trespassing release in China that I'd like to share:
a) China is not a market for music sales due to piracy, but a lucrative one for concerts. Only the most popular Chinese Pop stars can manage a feat of a few tens of thousands of CD sales nationally, so the reality is IF Trespassing could sell over 10k that would be a big success as far as CD sales go.
b) The Chinese singers do not make their fortune on CD sales or touring, but mostly on corporate gigs, commercials, endorsements and appearances, which Adam has benefited some already in the same system from his China fame: The Hennessy Artistry and The Mercedes-Benz event, etc.
c) There're currently many self-produced versions of Adam's music from Idol days to Trespassing on the Chinese market and they're selling, and people think they're getting the real deal ('cuz despite the rampant piracy in China, many folks still would like to buy the authentic products).
d) The official release won't be the US import but the domestic version with approved contents by the Chinese Cultural Bureau. "For Your Entertainment" was released in China on Jan 14, 2011 and "Fever" didn't make it up there. All foreign music needs to be "sanitized" and blessed by the Cultural Bureau before their official release in Mainland China. It would be interesting to see what song(s) will be cut or slightly modified.
e) The Chinese Glamberts will undoubtedly support Adam with their wallets like they've always, although lots of them already own his albums (thru Adamofficial or US amazon,etc.). I know a few of my Chinese twitter(weibo) followers are traveling to see Adam in all the Asia tour cities, lucky girls!
f) And, Q3, Celine Dion just snatched possibly the biggest promo spot on Chinese national TV --- The 2013 Annual Chinese New Year Gala! This is THE SHOW that will truly be watched by billions of Chinese where some of the highest central government officials will be attending. The current First Lady, who in fact still is a very popular folk singer in China, used to perform on that show for many years. Celine was as huge as the movie Titanic in China way back and is still a very well-known name, and reportedly, she'll be singing "My Heart Will Go On" and also duet with another hugely popular Chinese folk singer in Chinese! Thanks for this info. I am very interested what they do with the tracks on Trespassing. Perhaps they will use some of the bonus tracks? Maybe they will use alternate lyrics for Trespassing? Maddie, I do not have the FYE China release on my list. Can you provide a link to album tracklist? Was it a CD or just digital? ETA: Sorry for missing Kelly's China releases. But they are not on the Sony China site release list? Where they Chinese releases or the Asian version/Hong Kong shipped to China?

Am I missing any concerts during this people that were not radio promos? 2011 May 28: Concert. Moscow, Russia. Maxidrom Festival, Toshino AirfieldJuly 29: Concert. Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec. St. Agathe en Feux Festival.
2012 March 02: Benefit Concert. Vail, Colorado.
There are a lot of radio promotions where expenses and band would be paid, but mostly not Adam. But he got paid for some of these concerts.
There was a private gig in Austria on January (ski resort), and the Jezebel (Atlanta) private gig in March, and that's it as far as I can tell.

www.forbes.com/sites/zackomalleygreenburg/2013/01/30/top-earning-american-idols-2012/For a handful of artists, a higher position on next year’s list is all but guaranteed. Adam Lambert toured his way to $6 million in earnings in 2011 and this year falls to No. 7 with $1.5 million after taking time off to record Trespassing. The new album was released after the end of our scoring period, but debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts with 78,000 copies sold its first week. ...So this time frame doesn't include the album sales, doesn't include Queen, doesn't include anything actually. What was Adam doing May 2011 - May 2012 beside being in the studio writing and recording? How the hell did he earn 1.5 mill lol? The Idols have said this estimate is not very accurate. Carrie and Kelly has said that for years. This period includes the second half of the advance for Trespassing. It includes royalties for FYE albums, tracks and other items sold in May 2011-May 2012 and it includes just a few concerts. Since international sales royalties take a long time to process, I think a lot of this is estimated royalties. Am I missing any concerts during this people that were not radio promos? 2011 May 28: Concert. Moscow, Russia. Maxidrom Festival, Toshino AirfieldJuly 29: Concert. Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec. What about that Amway concert? That was supposed to be a high paying gig. Was that in the time period?

Q3, here is the link for FYE: www.amazon.cn/亚当•兰伯特-头条娱乐/dp/B004HKJL22/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1359568564&sr=8-2
There is no "official digital release" in China. In China, digital means free, pretty much; only a couple of big music sites like "baidu" or "QQ" will actually pay an one-time fee to the record company for the rights but the artists get nothing, except for the exposure and publicity.
Sony sold the rights to a local Shanghai music company to release Kelly's Breakaway years ago, and Stronger was the same deal, but to a different company.
ETA: You're correct! Adam would be the only and first Idol to have "official releases" (FYE & GNL) in China, actually by Sony.
