Adam Lambert supports and promotes fellow pop superstars 'Trespassing' sensation Adam Lambert has taken to his official Twitter page to congratulate two fellow pop superstars on their new music.
Writing on the social networking site earlier today (February 7), he lauded both Ke$ha and P!nk for different releases and described them as "inspiring".
Referring to Ke$ha's 'Deconstructed EP', which was released digitally earlier this month and includes stripped back renditions of her hits 'Blow' and 'Die Young', Lambert said: "@keshasuxx new Deconstructed EP is so beautiful!! What a treat to hear her voice raw and emotional. Lovely singing.  "
He also praised P!nk's newly shared music video for 'Just Give Me A Reason', which features vocals from fun. frontman Nate Ruess, and added: "New @pink video is really great. So genuine! The US is laughing about this everywhere. I just ran some errands and I heard nipple discussions and will the artists be rock and roll enough to break those rules or otherwise find ways to protest and similar topics all over the place, at cash registers, in shops and on the street. In fact, the one thing this memo clearly did, is alert everyone to the fact that this award show is happening. Because in the avalanche of award shows that are usually happening in January and February, this little fact would otherwise have gotten lost. There are still major cultural differences between US and other countries, especially EU at play here. I just wrote some stuff about that, but decided, that it is neither news nor Adam related, so I won't post it. I just want to say though, that I am really annoyed that in all the articles about this topic, the Pink picture is used. Pink's performance was probably one of the most artistic and astounding performances any award show has seen, probably in a decade. It was brilliantly done, and the wetsuit in a nude color was giving this illusion of nudity, while still keeping it classy. It is exactly the example of where nudity is used in a positive way as part of art. Of course there are tons of more revealing situations that have happened over the years that were far less classy, but they are not used, because surprise-surprise, they are long forgotten. Pink's performance was memorable. And that is exactly why this memo is so narrow-minded, bigoted and stupid coming from an organization that in theory should be about the arts. Just like with singing tons of runs up and down the scale, when nudity or embellished singing is used in the name of arts, there should not be a problem with it, when it is used just because that is the only idea a famous person has to make waves, then of course it is worthless. But of course the event nazis that wrote this memo would not know one from the other. My donations weren't showing up, so I donated again thinking something happened. Well it happened again, so I donated again. Uh oh, checked credit card charges and I have three $31 donations. Husband is gone for 5 weeks, so I can hide it for awhile, and if he decides to give me shit, I will remind him of how he spent on his trip. Haha!!! I did the same thing with one of Adam's charities... LOL.. But my husband was home. My donation is displayed , and, of course, full first and last name >:D, even though I do not even signed the card. :-[ |
