email update:
Shannon will be returning from LA next week and will give y’all a full update and recap on, but she did ask me to tell you this;
Shannon flew out to LA on Wednesday evening. Believe me – it was hard for Hans to arrange to meet with Adam this week as Adam was insanely busy preparing to leave for his 6 week tour. Adam suggested that they meet to chat & hang out on Thursday evening at the airport while he waited for his flight to Seoul.
Hans had made a different coffin box to house the piece – a black one. Shannon said that Adam looked like he was opening a treasure chest and that the expression on his face when he saw what was inside was so cute!
Adam absolutely LOVES the Skeleton Key – he really loves the way black diamonds and blue sapphires look togehter! Adam was very touched that his fans were a part of this gift. Adam was thrilled with the piece! And Adam did understand that in addition to donating to his birthday charity, this year we wanted to give HIM something special just for him on his birthday - “That is so sweet!” were his words!
Adam had promised to take a photo, but he said that he wants to wait and take a photo of him wearing the Key while wearing a fabulous outfit as he said that he wants the photo to “mean something”
(Personally, I can totally understand that. They were in an airport and I’m sure that Adam was probably dressed for the long flight in comfortable traveling attire . Also, if you start snapping pics of Adam in an airport, you do stand the chance of alerting the paps and then it turns into a circus – just my thoughts)
Anyway, Adam gave Shannon & Hans his word and promised to provide a photo (soon) of him wearing the key with an outfit that is as fabulous as the Key is. Hans is an old and very close friend of Adam assures us that Adam will honor us all with a photo.
The Birthday Book was 28 pages in all & included almost 100 signatures, personal birthday greetings and letters to Adam and a few photos as well. I also included a birthday tribute from AOL Music “Adam Lambert’s Birthday, Fans Share 31 Reasons to Love the Star on His Big Day” as some of the fans who took part in the gift made the list of 31 reasons to love Adam. The very last page of the book was this awesome artwork by Lucas Vitek (Lucas also designed the cover art for the book)
twitpic.com/bxeuoa The birthday book was a lot larger than I had originally thought it would be and took 2 solid days to compile and triple check to make sure that everyone had been included. I’m thinking that the long flight to Korea was such a great opportunity for Adam to read all of your wonderful and touching birthday greetings and letters!
So, Adam has the Key pendant with him on this tour - keep a close eye on any photos, interviews and videos of the tour concert performances ( we just might see Adam wearing the Key) and of course for the photo that Adam has promised to take for us all!
This was a very special project filled with a lot of LOVE and enthusiasm. Thank you all so much for being a part of this very special gift and for your beautiful and touching writings for Adam’s Birthday Book. Thank you for your patience and for discreetly passing the gift email to your friends – HOLY CRAP we actually did manage to keep this as a surprise for Adam !!!! Thank you guys!
