dancygeorgia - Can I just say how much I LOVE you? Your tech explanations are always so great. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to post all the these details! I'm listening to the MP4 of the Tokyo Day 1 file right now & please don't throw anything at me, but I don't think the audio is all that good, esp. when compared to the Seoul downloads of Stay. And after downloading the QAL files in FLAC format, I agree that FLAC is the way to go. It's superb. Apparently it takes some hi-tech equipment to record FLAC, but hey, maybe some of the Tokyo Glamberts can do it! I don't know about equipment for recording in FLAC format directly. But I can talk about relatively inexpensive equipment that will record great audio at concerts. Most video recorders only have a cheap simple microphone that cannot handle the loud booming sounds of the bass and drums, resulting in bad distortion. There are several handheld recorders in the $100-300 price range with good microphones and with the capability to automatically adjust the recording levels so that distortions do not happen. The major companies are Zoom (Japan), Tascom, and Olympus. These handhelds (about the size of an iPhone but twice as thick) record in WAV and PCM formats. Both of these are high quality lossless audio formats. PCM is what is used on CDs and DVDs. These companies also have video recorders with the same good quality microphones. However, the video is only very average. Hey -- I just noticed that the little gear next to the "quote" has a drop down menu which includes "back to top"!Is there a way to bookmark an individual's post. I want to keep the MP3 and MP4 file format information. I guess I just have to copy/paste to Word? Late but THANKS for noticing that!!!!!

I just got back here and saw the posts about mp3/mp4 downloads. Thanks but I am not very good with all that tech stuff. My question is for some reason some of my mp3 downloads that I have go 'automatically to iTunes ' just sit in a file there that says 'not added' and I can't figure out how to get them into iTunes from this file so I can burn a CD. I really want a CD for each of these concerts. I was able to download for all the Adam/Queen concerts but I'm having trouble now. :-/ What version of iTunes are you using? Apple keeps changing the user interface of iTunes, so it helps to know the version number. And are you using iTunes on Windows or Mac? The instructions below are for Windows, but I would guess it would be the same on a Mac. If you do not see a "Menu Bar" that says " File Edit View" plus more near the top of iTunes, then look for a drop down icon in the very top left corner and select "Show Menu Bar". Or just hold done the "ctrl" key and press the "B" key at the same time and the menu bar will toggle on or off. On the Menu Bar, select "File", then either "Add File to Library" or "Add Folder to Library" depending on whether you want to add 1 file at a time or a whole folder full of files. In the pop-up file browser, navigate to the file or folder and select it. I think there may also be other ways. For example, I think you can drop and drag the file or folder into iTunes in some cases, but I've not found this to work always. Thanks for your instructions DancyGeorgia. I copied this and put it in the 'How to' thread so I can find it more easily next time. I spent hours yesterday and eventually got 'Stay and Underneath' on to my ipod but I have no idea how I did it and it's not in my itunes! Go figure!
