Something to amuse you while we wait for the next concert. I was telling a friend about WGWG and wanted to show how similar the past 5 Idol winners were. Looking at examples on YT, I stumbled across David Cook singing the National Anthem. Aha! What a perfect way to compare and contrast the "winners" with AFL. (One of these things is not like the others.) So, for your entertainment: Thanks for displaying these Cassie. The difference was even more shocking than I imagined. God, that man can sing.

(One of these things is not like the others.) So, for your entertainment: Cassie, I was amused. That was an interesting exercise. Poor Cookie sounded...not good. Unexpressive and weak tone. Kris sounded pretty good. Pretty country, which is not his genre. Nice tone quality. Lee YIKES what key is he in? Once he settle in on a key that was higher than he started, it was decent. Our country bass (name has disappeared from my head) SCOTTY--poor boy got lost wandering around all the country-fied scoops and near-yodelling. P2--okay. Guitar and some changing of rhythms were interesting. Adam. Awwww. One of the few people for which the high notes do not sound high. Everyone else has to tighten up their girdle/belt/spanx, while we, the audience hold our collective breath in hopes that screeching or cracking will not ensue. ETA: Now that I read this again and added Scotty's name, I realized how none of these other guys is a great singer. Interesting for a singing competition.

Got a quick question for moderators, please.
Where are we supposed to put quotes and articles about Adam coming from celebrities? I found the thread called 'People talking about Adam', but it has only about 3 posts and some of them are from other fans. Is there a parallel track that I should be using and have not found yet for people in the business or for celebrities or is all together in one thread?
I have presently an article about Gary Jules talking about Mad World (4 years old article) that actually I personally had never read and yesterday I fell over some quotes from Billie Joe about Adam that I had seen before and I just would like to drop them off in the right location as I find them.
Secondly, it would be really great, if such a thread had some kind of register/index. Because once it has a good amount of pages it is not easy to see whether something has already been posted without reading all the pages first.
Index needs to only have the name or group that is quoted and on what page the actual post is made. I'll be glad to help with this, btw. Could pm the updated index to moderator or something along those lines, if that was wanted.
Thanks

I listened to all the videos for the national anthem, and then cried when Adam sang. He is so lovely and shines so much when he wants to. That smile he gave to the audience at the end totally did me in.

You've been very busy posting audio downloads of the concerts on various daily threads. I hope other people have seen them. Thanks for taking time to do that.

Hm, why does some text appear in invisible ink for me? I'm using the Trespassing 2 theme and except for the blue highlighted words, the above paragraph in black text does not show up on a black background. I have to highlight the text with my mouse cursor before I can read it. Q3, any advice? Is Trespassing 2 theme just not the way to go? Well it is a bit of a trade off. If someone picks a color for the type, it will stay that color on every background. If they leave it in the default (do nothing) the theme will change to color. So this type will be black on the white backgrounds and white on the dark backgrounds. But if I make it BLACK or DARK BLUE with the color selector it will not change and will not be readable on all backgrounds.
