I've been listening to glamarati's Jakarta vids. At first I was frustrated with the sound, as the high frequencies and harmonics are muted, making the sound sort of dull. The more I listened, tho', the more I was impressed with the warmth of Adam's voice. We have talked a lot about all the harmonics in his voice, the fullness and richness, the fact that he sings in 3D. With the highest frequencies filtered out, I could really appreciate the other layers of richness that contribute to that 3D sound, that give it such a milk chocolate richness. In these videos, the voice may be missing the top frequencies that give brilliance and brightness to the tone, but there is still so much more there. Amazing.

Anyone voting on the popdust tournament? Adam is now losing at 49%. I stopped because I was voting over and over and watching Adam's total increase by 10 votes to every 30 votes by the other side. I got discouraged. I get very competitive with these things and then I reach a point where I think, "Why am I doing this? How does it benefit Adam if he wins this poll, or hurt him if he loses it?" I feel a little guilty for giving up but it just seemed as if everyone else had too. And I'm still ticked off at the site for saying the poll would end last night and then suddenly adding a couple of days to it. It reminds me of that year in the Olympics when the officials at the USSR/USA basketball game kept adding more minutes to the end of the game until finally the USSR won. Not recommending that anyone vote in this poll because it means nothing. But to be fain to Popdust.com they ended round 3 Sunday at 12:00PM (noon), put up the current round 4 but forget to change the date to Tuesday. The did count all the votes and corrected it about 6 hours after the voting started. 12:00AM in midnight, 12:00PM is noon.  ETA: But you are so right about the basketball ref during the Olympics. |

I forgot how to enlarge the size of the print on the page. I accidentially hit something and my print went small. Could someone tell me what to hit on my key board to make the print bigger again please?

Amazing. - you spoke earlier today about how Adam's voice is improving and will continue to do so for a number of years. As he reaches the top of his game, perhaps that will be the time he will think he's ready to get back to some of his musical theater roots, maybe even some semi-classical or classical music. However..... I don't know if I can take him getting too much better. His voice in the TFM, OOL and ITL medley - so rich and full of love...  |
