so by now every Glamberts is booking there hotels, plane flights, and buying tickets for Adam Lambert's show in Del Mar, California on July 2nd
Del Mar is right next to San Diego, the place Adam grew up and where went to high school. So this show is basically Adam's homecoming show after his hugely successful international 'We Are Galmily Tour'. We have all seen the youtube videos and wished badly that we could attend a show on this tour. Well here is our chance. One of the things that i love most (and i'm sure of you do as well) about being a Glambert is the connection with other fans that i have met in this Adam Lambert community. I remember seeing Adam's 1st performance on idol back in 2009 and immediately feeling like a magnetic pull to find other people that were as affected and moved by Adam's performance, his style, his aesthetic, his humble down to earth nature and his truly unique and unmatched vocal ability.
Adam is returning to his home town of San Diego (Del Mar) tuesday july 2nd for what will be a very special concert! Allot of Glamberts will be flying in Monday (some sooner then that) and i had the idea that we could all go out dancing at a local gay dance club. Well it just so happens that i found just the place! the place is called THE BRASS RAIL and July 1st its MANIC MONDAY SAN DIEGO'S BEST 80's NIGHT! who can beat $2 drink specials and classic tunes all night!!
i'm starting up a list in case people want to carpool or share a cab together and coordinate

I was on the fan club website about 5 minutes before 10:00AM. I went to the events page and kept refreshing until the VIP button became active shortly after 10:00AM. I pressed it immediately and went through the check out and payment process right away before I tried for tickets. The VIP package was just $100. I don't recall if it gave me an option to buy more than one. I bought my ticket afterward in section 2 row 5, which is probably not a great, but I might upgrade it later. When I bought my ticket the VIP tickets were already sold out. Maybe more came up later.

Ok, so we know that tomorrow AI will be highlighting past contestants. Tonight's theme was songs past winners performed on the show. Being the only show to produce stars is how they rise above the competetion.
We also know that Idol sent reps to Adam's Asian tour (can't remember which show was it?) so they've invested some in telling Adam's story. Making his career look good makes them look good so I am thinking about all they can boast about....#1 album, top western artist in Asia, mostly sold out international tour, performed w Queen for audience of 1/4 million... Not a bad year for our boy. They've got to talk about Kelly, Carrie, Jennifer Hudson, Scotty, and PP. Yada yada. Great stats but nothing new to report. Adam is largely considered the most exciting contestant ever so I hope they take that into consideration and it turns into another great free pr night for him!

I wanted to ask about the Meet and Greet. I did have the upgraded membership but nothing happened when I clicked on the button. People seemed to get that meet and greets after that so was there something else I was supposed to do? MyS*&@^#r, what exactly did you do and when?????????? Can't complain since I have met Adam and am happy for anyone here that gets to do that. But I do want to know the "technique" for the future. I went to TM first since I did not have a clue that M&G were going on sale at the same time. Since i had never done a M&G before (because he hasn't had any in California before.) I thought you had to buy a ticket first. So, I got my great tickets and then went to the fan club window I already had open. Mind you, this is about 4 mins after 10. When I clicked the VIP said SOLD OUT! And I cried, for real! But I have seen things like tickets at ALF say SOLD OUT before, but then they will pop open again. I decided I was going to just sit here and refresh the page for as long as I could. Refresh, refresh, refresh! 45 minutes later the VIP window popped open and I could not believe my eyes. Then I was sure I was going to lose it because I was shaking so badly. |
