That wouldn't be in Adam's control, would it? I would think that whether or not a venue has big screens is up to the venue. I could be wrong. I would defer to others on that question, but Adam is so aware of his fans, I can't imagine he would deny them screen access. It was a full house. I'd be curious too why such a large venue didn't have screens. This arena has big screens in the center -- since it was designed as primarily for ice hockey. foursquare.com/v/hartwall-areena/4adcdb22f964a5207e6021e3 Here is another photo: www.malighting.com/en/news-references/news/news-details/274_on-the-playing-field.htmlBut they can be added for a concert set-up. Here is an example: www.etnow.com/news/2011/10/for-children-in-need-grandma2-joins-charity-concertBUT from what I can tell from the videos, I do not think anyone was shortchanged because the sound system was excellent and that got to hear all of those amazing performances live. ** Regarding who makes these decisions -- unless it was a contract term negotiated before Adam signed the contact, the promoter would most likely make the decision. The main exception to that is that the artist can choose to pay for additions like this themselves.

Cassie, thanks. That note just has a quality/clarity, fullness and power I do not ever recall hearing before. I cannot image what it sounded like live!! Quality, clarity, fullness, power, ring....... these have always been characteristics of Adam's classical training and technique, and what makes Adam's voice so unique in pop music. IMO, these characteristics have only gotten stronger as Adam has matured. You know, people have said that Adam can no longer sing classically as he did in CTMBTM, because he has ruined his voice singing pop and rock. BOVINE EXCREMENT! One expects to hear that purity of tone on his ballads, but, listen to his up-tempo, pop and rock renditions. For example, Chokehold. It has a driving beat and dark feeling from the beginning, but the voice is pure crystal and delicately floats in the beginning lines. You can also hear that purity at the beginning of Cuckoo. And FYE shows off a rich, full lower register and refined mid range before soaring up to the high Eb. A very legitimate music theater tone with a delivery perfectly adapted to pop/rock/funk. It shouldn't work, but it does. It's what makes folks who know nothing about voice production and music recognize that Adam's voice is extraordinary. They always mention his range, which is impressive, to say the least. But, there are other classic rockers out there with similar ranges. What we all hear from Adam is the quality of the tone in the notes he sings. It is so unusual and striking that we notice it in even the fan-made videos on cameras with limited frequency range for recording, and on YT which limits the frequencies in playback. Don't let anyone tell you that ring and resonance is from the sound system. Just ain't so. That tone is the product of techniques developed long before we had amplification for voices, when a singer had to be able to float their voice over a full orchestra to the back of the top balcony. In that setting, there was no way for a singer to just belt out a note using brute force and outsing a full orchestra. It could only be done by creating those rich, ringing harmonics in a pure tone. It has to do with the physics of sound waves, but I won't get all scientific on you. Suffice to say, Adam has a PhD in singing. Yummy! His voice was so strong through the whole performance, even with all the dancing he did. And in the first encore, AYGGMW, his control was still amazing. At about :58 listen to the run - going low - perfect. Cassie - is his range increasing? - at least the lower notes seem to be getting stronger.

Thanks for posting this video. *** The problems people are having with the forum is because there is an DDoS attack hitting ProBoards servers. They added an additional server 6 hours ago to handle the increased load. There was another attack recently but things are now normal. DDoS attack = a distributed denial-of-service attack is an attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the efforts of one or more people to temporarily or indefinitely interrupt or suspend services of a host connected to the Internet. More info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attackThis was not directed at Adamtopia but affected all of ProBoards.

Just a thought about the band -- I was impressed with the training that most of the band members have had -- seems mostly classical. Same as Adam. I think he saw something in all of them from the start. Now, after months and months of playing together, they seem to all be very comfortable with each other. They gel. Maybe he knew they would. The entire act, including Adam, are really good right now. Something still bugs me about Rick, but it may be that I like Longineau and Carpenter so much. TJ sounds really really good and I'm suprised that I'm saying that outloud. I so wish that I could have seen this tour live. Seeing the Helsinki turnout just thrills me to no end. I can't even think about the upcoming drought. Oh well. I have TONS of videos to catch up on (on purpose). Can't wait to read the Helsinki recaps!
