Latest rumors about Idol: Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick, executive producers, have both been fired. From the website The Wrap: www.thewrap.com/tv/article/american-idol-reboot-chaos-top-producers-nigel-lythgoe-ken-warwick-out-exclusive-95021"American Idol is firing longtime executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick in a continuing bid to win back viewers and shake up the show, an insider with knowledge of the show told TheWrap. Fox declined to comment on this report.
The new judging panel was aimed at assembling three former "Idol" contenders, including Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson, but that plan appears to be in a holding pattern since Mike Darnell's departure and a lack of someone at the top to make the final decisions, a senior executive with knowledge of the production told TheWrap.
Darnell's exit and the pending departure of the top producers makes for a confusing mix at the top of Fox's ranks, in addition to what the executive calls "dysfunction" between the network and "Idol" producers, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment."
About Adam: "We also hear that Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken, two other names floated as possible former contenders-turned-judges, have not received offers. Though one of the individuals we talked to said that if the show actually moves forward on an all-alum panel, then Lambert is the show producers' top contender.
Another option would be having just one former contender return -- maybe keeping Urban and finding one or two other artists. And by the way, if the show does decide to go with just one alum, then Clarkson makes better sense as the No. 1 choice, which may further explain why Fox is holding off on fully executing Hudson's agreement."
No confirmation from FOX yet, so will be interesting to see what happens. Hope everyone is having a good day. ETA: Added more quotes from the article.

Today, images of LeAnn Rimes and Adam Lambert giving cameras the middle finger began circulating around the internet in support of an anti-bullying campaign that embraces a new "F" word -- friendship. Originating in Los Angeles, the Friend Movement is a grassroots organization created by Elliot Dal Pra London and Ronnie Kroell that aims to prevent bullying through enabling people to be better friends and by displaying positive images of people of all races, genders, and creeds. The "New F Word" campaign is the organization's most recent effort in spreading bullying awareness and self-empowerment, as well as replacing hurtful "F" words like "freak" and "fag" with kinder ones like "friend." By displaying thousands of pictures of celebrities and other supporters flipping the bird at bullying, the campaign hopes that others will learn to speak out against the issue and not let it continue because of silence. According to their website, the movement encourages victims of bullying to have an inner monologue that says, "F U, I am actually really FABULOUS and do not need your approval."Along with Lambert and Rimes, stars such as Tim Gun, Lance Bass, and Carmen Elektra have given their help (and fingers) to this campaign. The Friend Movement will be launching a Kickstarter today to raise funds for a national tour where they will take 10,000 pictures of supports in three months to take a stance against all different types of bullying.
