I just read about the 11pm curfew & the short rain delay. Since Adam apparently finished a few minutes after 11pm how would there have been time for a longer set list or even more banter? Rhetorical question - but color me confused.  He was supposed to start at 9:30 so there would have been time for the longer set. Perhaps the complaints are from those that did not know there was a curfew. However, I am confused about the curfew since the street party went to 1:30 AM so there were obviously permits to continue that volume of sound. So in that case, why could the set not be its full length if indeed the communication about that length between PP and Adam was clear to begin with. I think we will never unwind it all because I can't get any reliable info from the Delta Foundation folks. But we do have a setlist that includes all the songs Adam did (although in a different order). What I have been able to piece together is that Adam did all the songs he was contracted to do, the dancers were never going to be there (and I do not think they would have fit on that stage with the band and Adam). The sound level for the after party was lower than for Adam. We could hear the sound check inside our hotel room on the 22nd floor of the Westin, but we could not hear the after party. I am assuming the concert sound levels were the same as sound check. I am still not sure who is complaining except people who were not there. PS Nice to see you -- My husband and I had to race out quickly because he got a direct hit in the eye with one of those purple balls from the ball drop and he had to get his retina checked. It was fine.  But we had quite a scare. He has had several retinal surgeries so it is a major concern. Then we went and had a nice midnight dinner! (Pitt has a great medical center!) |

HUGH TKS TO Virg1877 to videoing. 'cause my focus was on Adam only...so I'm on my knees to Virg and any tohers who taped...
Here are a few comments from different attendees - mind you this is not verbatim but you will get the gist.
In case you haven't gathered, I am a 'gabber'. THis is just in random order...
1. I talked to a volunteer as I was able to leave my spot and eat, potty, etc (that was the advantage of a premium ticket. SHe commented to me that Adam was the best "DRAW' they have had. He was paid well but again, has sold the most tickets.!! Good to hear.
2. I stood w an Adam fanatic (she was the one who held two posters (you might be able to catch them in the posted video's) She had brought a friend w her who really knew nothing of the music. About 3 songs in the concert, she taps me on the shoulder and commented "He's really good" another convert!
3. THe same two friends who were chatting away w me commented that Adam was without a record label. I answered "WHAT?" WHere did you hear that? THey replied about 3 weeks ago it was announced and even a TV station mentioned it. I quickly elbowed Q3 and shouted. Listen to this,,, they are saying no record label. Q3 retorred NO He is still w RCA. I also re-enforced her answer. But interesting to hear that comment. How many tohers think he's been let go??
4. Met two toher gentlemen just standing behind me, I asked if he was hear for Adam. No, he brought his sister and friend who wanted to hear Adam. I said, you are in for a treat he can sing. He replied the best concert he's ever been to was Carrie Underwood. It was fabulous. SHe is so beautiful. I knew right then, no convert w this guy. Afterwards, I asked how he enjoyed the concert. His reply, The band was good.
5. The bikini clad or skimpy underwear clad "shot" waiters were fun. THe 1st one I chatted w was from my hometown now living in Pittsburg. WEll there was a cutie who visited our section throughout the night, With each visit, it was quite obvious, he was 'dipping into the sipping" BUt the end rsut were we were givin 'special" lap dances'...
6. Yes someone commented that they noticed Adam eyeing (which would be to his right) were TWO bare chested guys that had to have springs on their feet 'cause they were BOUNCIN and SHOUTIN from the minute Adam came on Stage and Adam took note, In Fever, where he sings, "You and me" manage a trois...he points to the pretty. Yes every song he was over there.
7. I took the time to see if some of the boys were familiar w Adam's songs and yes, the groups around me the boys were singing their hearts out. Nice to see male fans.
8. Lastly, after the concert, I was on the elevator heading to the room and I met a young girl (15 - 16?) and I aksed if she enjoyed the concert. Her response "He didn't seem himself. He seemd sad and he didn't talk to his fans like he usually does at his concert. I'm worried about him" whoa...SHocked I said, I didn't think he was said, I thought He was trying to get more songs in. I thought he was great. BUt that was her comments. interesting.
Had a fab time. Met Counselor and Danceygeorgia.
YES I wanted a longer concert because It just flies.
