This is a long recap of this person's M&G at Del Mar.
Alyssa @sleepwalkeral94I'm just gonna leave this here... (It's a write up of my M&G experience)

As you probably know, I am a HUGE fan of Adam Lambert. Although I am fiercely devoted to being a Glambert, I’ve actually never met the man behind the term.
BUT GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME RECENTLY.
On July 2nd, I had the most AMAZING day.
So, I had tickets to the Adam Lambert concert at the Del Mar Fair. I remember tweeting about how I just couldn’t figure out how people got such close seats to Adam and how they got Meet and Greets. About three hours before showtime, someone contacted me through Twitter, asking me if I would like her M&G pass because she couldn’t make it to the show. She told me she wanted to give it to a big fan who hasn’t met him. Apparently she saw me on the twitter list for the show! Right at that moment, my heart stopped. Could this really be happening? Would my dream really be coming true?
I was supposed to get at the venue early, but traffic was terrible and I was running SUPER late (and it would really help if the Del Mar Fair had some signs directing people where to go…). I’m so glad that a couple of Glamberts were able to help me when I was lost, though. [One Glambert (I THINK her name was Randy??), bless her soul, was able to flag down security when I couldn’t find my way backstage. If you know her, I’d really appreciate it if you could direct me to her.]
(On a side note, I saw Adam’s dad waiting at the gate of the fair. I was SO close to striking up a conversation with him while I walked right past him, wanting to thank him for raising such an excellent son. However, my nerves won out.)
By the time I actually got to the M&G area, I was probably like 45 minutes late. Thank goodness there was still a line. A group of people let me cut in front of them, so I was like the second to last person to see him. My memory starts to get a bit hazy from here on out…
Everything was such a blur. When it was my turn to meet him (literally a minute after I got there), I remember the first thing that popped into my mind after seeing his face was, “Gosh, that makeup is just CAKED onto this boy." (Adam, please, you don’t need that much makeup to make you look pretty. You’re beautiful just the way you are!) Our conversation probably went like:
Me: I’m a huge fan! Hi, I’m Alyssa!
Adam: Hello! *shakes my hand*
Adam: *pulls me in for a hug*
Me: *DIES*
*Both of us take a picture together*
(I’m thinking, SHIT, I FORGOT TO SMELL HIM. And also, this dang wind is messing up my hair…)
I was practically being ushered out, but turned back to him and held up my stuffed animal hedgehog (in the Trespassing video contest, I used this exact hedgehog in my winning video).
Me: Remember this little guy?
Adam: *looks at him, thinking for a moment*
Adam: *points to the hedgehog, possibly poking him* Oh yeah, I do! That was a great video!
Me: Thank you! I can’t wait to see you tonight! I’m so excited!
Adam: I’m so happy to be here! See you soon!
After this, I am officially DEAD. I have just met my most favorite guy in the universe. Although this experience only lasted about 30 seconds, it was an INCREDIBLE experience nonetheless.
One thing I immediately noticed about Adam when I first approached him was his size. Everyone is always surprised at how TALL he is, but I was actually more surprised at how BIG he was. The size of his head and hands and body were bigger than I imagined them to be. And the more and more I stare at our picture, I can’t help but notice that he’s standing SO close to me. My head is mere inches away from his beautiful face. It’s the best feeling in the world to be that close to him. And I remember how comforting it was to have his hand on my shoulder—I felt really safe and secure next to him. I don’t feel this way with many people (especially people I’ve just met), and I think this is a testament as to why Adam is such a magical person—there’s something about him that not many others have.
And, you know, I always read about how people who’ve met Adam say how he’s so humble and down-to-earth (it was a little hard to believe until I witnessed this myself). I have to say this is absolutely correct. Even though our conversation lasted about 15 seconds, he was super sweet and friendly and inviting. He’s so easy to talk to and made me feel totally at ease. In addition to this, he has quite an impressive memory (although I knew he’d remember the hedgehog, it was still nice of him to not completely forget all about that contest!) And that voice… I’m constantly listening to his talking voice in interviews and whatnot, but it sounds unreal when you hear it for yourself. It’s like how you’d expect it to sound, but… better. There’s no other words to describe it. I swear, this man is absolutely heavenly.
Looking back on everything, I’ve realized that over these past few years, we’ve both grown and matured together—him, in his music; and me, in my schooling. He’s been a part of so many amazing things, and I’m grateful that our paths finally crossed. Can you believe I met a man who:
Has made two great albums
Makes bomb music videos
Has won numerous awards for his work in the LGBT community
Has had multiple successful international tours (and a successful one in the U.S. too!)
Is an INTERNATIONAL POP STAR
Has sung with the legendary band QUEEN for a mini tour in Europe
Was in Vienna just a few weeks ago to sing at Life Ball, the world’s largest charity event for AIDS
The list goes on and on and continues to grow
And I, an unknown college student, got to meet this amazingly accomplished man? It was truly a dream come true.
I guess persistence and patience really do pay off! Now I truly know the meaning of never giving up on your dreams. Thank you, Adam, for EVERYTHING. I love you.
