Boy the effort I went to to read the personal branding article! It was worth it. Thanks for sharing it! We need to get beyond categories, demographics, characterized groups! It seems so yesterday and I mean ages ago! I recognize that there are the so called masses that may fit into some kind of box (but is that even really true?), but what about the outliers? There are a heck of a lot of us!

Thanks Dancey! I did not create it, but it represents my memory of a great time shared with my son at the Boston Kiss concert last summer!

It seems so yesterday and I mean ages ago! I recognize that there are the so called masses that may fit into some kind of box (but is that even really true?), but what about the outliers? There are a heck of a lot of us! I read it too. One of the comments said "Plus he has been saddled by the media with being a gay icon – not something he ever wanted to be – and has most graciously taken up the challenge. Unfortunately, that cause has also created a bit of a barrier for him – American radio pretty much ignores him, and there has been word that one or more of the major radio corporations has quietly banned his music." Like thebean from yesterday's thread, I've always felt he is somehow being blacklisted in radio (regarding Era 2, and a little in Era 1). Has anyone actually heard that he has been quietly banned by one or more major radio corporations as the above comment states?

In about 3 hours, the edited audio from Tinafea, Butterknife & myself will finish uploading. I was able to reduce, but not eliminate a few loud glitches due to equipment handling and such so that I could amplify the sound without causing distortions. I will be working on splitting these audio files into individual songs and uploading over the next 2 days. These new uploads should be considered better replacements for the raw full concert files & individual song files made from the raw files
What I would like in the meantime is about 5-10 people (some Mac users & some Windows users) who are willing to test these new downloads today & tomorrow, including listening to the full recordings. I've already found some files that some people could not get to and am having to re-upload. You will need a good internet connection as the M4A & MP3 files are 150-200 MB in size and the WAV files (highest quality) are 500 MG in size. The WAV files are split into 6 smaller files for downloading and need to be joined together. For some people, just double clicking on split file #1 will execute a file join (likely on Macs as Butterknife is able to do this but I cannot on Windows 7). For others, you will need to use 7-Zip, WinZip, WinRAR or other such program to join the split files.
If you want to volunteer, please send a PM addressed to with what kind of computer you are using (Mac Lion, Mac Mountain Lion, Windows XP, Windows 7, etc), which files you want to download, and which media players you can test the files in. One of us will then send you the link. If I don't respond shortly, you can also ask Butterknife or Tinafea for the address. Maybe I should give it to a few of the Mods also.
Test for:
download problems, plays with good sound in as many media players as you have (iTunes, Windows Media Player, VLC Player, etc), good volume range, consistency in volume range between the 3 different recordings, any audio glitches you think need to be addressed, error in the artwork and header information (album title, genre, etc)
If you know how to use a Cue Sheet to cut a CD from the full concert audio file, these are werer provided by Terra & MMYY9 and are in a separate folder under the download link. I haven't tested these myself yet.
For others, we will be providing the audio in smaller files split by song as soon as they are ready!
ETA - Also added Full Show FLAC files that MMYY9 converted from the WAV files. They have the same quality as the WAV files but are compressed to about 3/5 the size of the WAV files. The FLAC files are a single 1.62 GB download.

The Lambrits @lambritsuk 22m RT @pressparty: ADAM LAMBERT rep pours cold water over 80s covers album rumours. mrkt.ms/18KbIVP Adam Lambert rep pours cold water over 80s covers album rumours A rep for Adam Lambert has stated that nothing is decided on his next album following speculation that he could record a collection of covers. The vocal powerhouse has released two albums since leaving American Idol in 2009 - 'For Your Entertainment' and 2012's 'Trespassing'. New speculation has emerged that his next effort could be a record full of covers of 80s songs. A rep for Lambert, however, told the Hollywood Reporter: "Nothing has been determined yet." As previously reported, the 'Better Than I Know Myself' star recently uploaded online what looked to be new lyrics.

I get a "page not found" message when I try to link to this article. I see others managed to access it - did you do anything special?
