You know, this little gem of a duet just slays me. Every time I click on the site, I think, "OK, I'll just let it play in the background, while I continue to scroll here on ATOP." But then I get drawn in and have to watch the whole thing. I just never get tired of it. Adam's sweet, gentle demeanor with Angie is so precious. His generosity to other artists is something I rarely see from other performers these days.

He can perform them, he just can't re-record them. I am not sure about live performance recordings, but typically these just require permission and a rights payment. Yes I assumed that but you said he could not re-record them. So....what happens if, a couple of albums down the road, his new label wants to put out a "greatest hits" or "best of Adam" album, and wants to include WWFM....and any others from FYE or TP, then what? Ditto putting out a Live album such as GNL? And what if he wants to/is asked to sing any tracks off these albums on Glee? Can they be included on a Glee compilation? Could the 'new' version from the show be used or would they have to return to the original? What about anything written for either of these albums but rejected by RCA --can I assume those are 'free game' or were they paid for by RCA and therefore, theirs? .....sorry...we need a lawyer here... The record label would need to compensate RCA.

The record label would need to compensate RCA. Will the albums still be sold? will Adam get any royalties for songs he wrote? Adam just walks away from his albums as though they were never his? If this is all true.. then I sure can understand artists like PRINCE . Wrote slave on his forehead ,before he decided to produce and sell his own music. Of course Adam is a newbie and certainly doesn't have the popularity or resources to do this...It just seems a bit unjust to artists who make gorgeous music and can't claim it as their own.Yes the label puts up the money, but the artist puts up his soul

SmithDavid @smithdavid787 Using my @adamlambert fan, from the San Diego concert, to cool down while working out. Wooo-wee! #Glambert pic.twitter.com/ULqmcINdQN The person in the seat next to me handed me one of these fans. I used it to hide my recorder from the security person right in front of me. I kept the fan for next time!!!

Yikes, i peeked over at the old old place & won't do it again. I stan Adam because I admire him so much and can't understand why anyone would spend their time talking about someone they want to see fail! Q3 has way better self control than me. I was an intern at RCA in LA in the early 90's and they didn't have one exciting contemporary artist on the label at that time, instead doing mostly reissues of artists that were already dead. I have no clue who's on what label anymore but it sounds like maybe RCA still likes playing it safe - boring! I'm looking forward to Adam having great success on Glee and with whatever record label is lucky enough to get him. . . . tiny question . . . what is this old place? What forum? . . . clueless but curious . . . . . . shhhhhh . . .

My Timeline
Decision is made, get out of contract.
Shop for replacement with announcement deadline in mind. Hopefully can do both drop and switch, if not drop by itself will get publicity also.
Plans announcement of change to new recording company. Scheduled July 15th.
Two week notice to RCA, if they protest then that’s just more grist for the mill at the announcement. (Notice may just be that he’ll be talking about split, the parting of the ways may have been negotiated earlier)
Replacement found, Glee confirmed, shares writing with fans who think he’s still thinking of Sauli. Maybe he really is telling us that to get out of the contract he had to give up royalties to #1 & #2 and deliberate use of loose it all (as in unleash the Titan (ie Glambert singular not the fans) vs lose it all.
Somebody at RCA gets nose out of joint and drops 80s album leak – how it’s worded is not complimentary to Adam saying “you’ll see, this is what your fans want”.
Adam and team say “shit”, but hold tight knowing more positive news is forthcoming in a week. Adam starts letter but doesn’t have to drop it early in the week because….
Glee exec sees Glam bubble popping so drops Glee news, Adam confirms. Yay, they don’t have to wait a full week.
Pressure eased Adam is able to delay response to 80s album leak, crossing all ts, thanking all parties from those he worked with to his loyal glamberts, and follows same release path as leaker. A bit of “I can do you one better” playing the same game and your bull headedness just gave my Glamberts a full head of steam. Gives it a Friday headliner so that Monday’s planned news can be the icing on the cake. And all parties will have talking points, reporters should be well versed on what questions are burning. Not out of the blue anymore. Wow! Hypes the excitement even more that what was planned.
Question is, what is Shosh’s presence in town needed for? Maybe without this week they would have had to drum up excitement, that’s not needed any more. Can we hope that he can talk about Glee? That possibly could mean talk shows??? But maybe it’s for handling the wash, all the “but #2 didn’t sell” tomato throwing which might still come from media and not just non-fans. I think she’s done a lot just wondering about physical presence.
