I have followed the music business for 30 years and I cannot remember another situation like this for an artist who was between contracts. [Off to listen to "Lucky Star" and hope Adam's "Lucky Star" will shine some light on me.

Avicii and Nile did not treat Adam as a session singer -- he is a featured artist and has composer credit.

I think Adam didn't just lay down the vocal for LMD he also wrote the lyrics and as per Adam's twit below, Adam didn't compose the song, so I think his credit is as a songwriter.

I am not the expert here...Certainly there have not been too many, but I would have thought the South Africa concerts were in an arena, based on crowds of 13/19 thousand. Can anyone else remember any possible arena concerts?

...I would not count in outdoor fairs as arenas...to me that is different.

However he makes money is good for him...and the fans.   There is a renewed  sense of excitement and anticipation of "SOMETHING ADAM" happening.

EDIT add: I think King is singing back-up on the chorus lyrics Lay me Down in Darkness etc. ???

Q3: greatly appreciate all the knowledge you share about the music industry. so echo others comments on here about your keeping it real at the same time you also get as excited as the rest of us. Anyone know when Queen and Adam are going to Vegas?  I wonder if they discussed a couple of other songs to sing for iHeart with Adam?  And I wonder if they'll have a form of the light show they usually have when they perform?  And....and....(on a shallow note) what will Adam be wearing?

Maybe 500k plus expenses? Or is that too much? I think it's interesting that Train is playing there on NY day at night though - can't imagine most people wanting to go to a concert on 1/1, a Wed night after most party the night before.

I thought it was a bit odd that Tim, Nile, Adam all talked about "writing" LMD but like someone else posted, I think that's common from what I've seen - whether there are 2 or 6 writers, they will all say I wrote such and such.

I am very pleased overall with how Tim has treated and spoken of Adam and of course Nile has been amazing to Adam too. I feel very impressed with these 2 men, who I see as very evolved, and comfortable in their own skin, which is probably why they both hit it off with Adam!

His regular rate's $150K now, so for NYE my guess he gets pay $250K-300K
