HOLY FUCKBALLS! THIS SONG IS AMAZING! The production is so good! Adam's vocal isn't hidden! Nile's guitar!! Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! None of the previews or DLs sound anywhere near like this!! I am in heaven!!

Been to several of Taylor's live shows (not vegas.) He puts on a great show. I think Adam would love it! I'm sure he does. I just thought he was an elitest when he said judges on AI should be AI winners (when asked about contestants from AI). From his many comments, I think he really values his title. |

The Nielsen Soundscan processing rules for multiple purchasing are not clear -- and are largely the responsibility of the retailer. Retailers get rules and are supposed to remove bulk buying. Nielsen has not way to know if this was done or not. Online retailers send Nielsen a weekly report with the total of sales and the total of returns by UPC (Retail Item Number) by zip code where the product was shipped. Nielsen has no way of knowing if one person received 10 or 100 gifts. What iTunes does is a mystery. Many fan experts believe that the number of gift received by one individual is not tracked by iTunes. It is pretty clear that you can only purchase 1 track for yourself and have that counted. I have been unable to determine the answer to exactly what iTunes submits to Nielsen Soundscan. And I have tried very hard to find this out. My conclusion is that iTunes is not very sophisticated in their processing so it is possible that one person with one account could gift 1,000 purchases. Whatever else -- the RIAA is only interested in wholesale sales (sales to the retailer) and they do not care about fan buying. So it is only the Billboard chart that might be affected by a fan buying campaign. |
