Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for the support. I was on my phone a lot and I hate quoting on it etc. so I can't thank you all individually as I usually would But I appreciate it all! I would like to point out that in most circles (even in the anti-Adam) circles a bit of a swell in at least a grudging "He was better than he was in Kiev/Hammersmith") and while that sounds like damning praise, from that particular circle that's more than I ever would have thought he would get I watched the set again and I think it was pretty spot on. I don't think the band want to any real tours so I don't see it happening. I don't even know about big one offs...BUT I think they could do the occasional festival, big gig like this and when it happens I would believe that Adam would be the first person they call unless there was some specific reason not to... With that being said there are a few things stirring that might induce some promotional needs.... Roger has his solo stuff coming out and there's been rumors he'll do a small (most likely UK only) tour but if Adam is in London for something, I wouldn't be surprised to have him guest - as Roger is wont to have guests all the time...and if Adam was there, Brian might show up too... Furthermore with Queen. There was talk of a Queen ballads collection coming out Christmas time that would include a new Queen song (from the archives)...but recent interviews also point to B&R having found so much in the vaults they may make a full on Queen album (with Freddie tracks from the vaults (OMG THAT WOULD MAKE MY LIFE) and that may derail the Ballads collection. BUT either way Queen might decide to do a small promotional tour then...*shrugs* Just a thought. And I can't help that think that at SOME point, QAL will make a studio appearance. I don't really see a full album so to speak...but a song for a soundtrack, maybe a Q guest appearance on his next album...something. That's just a gut instinct though and I could be wrong...

I LOVED Queenbert in Vegas. I was expecting Hammersmith-esque and, of course, Adam did it different. Really, really confident, happy, strong, sexy, controlled, superb. He nailed it. I love him.

Well, you know the routine. We are desperate. We are filled with longing. Our anticipation is so high we have paramedics’ phone numbers stuck to our desks in case we faint or have cardiac arrest during that extraordinary 30 minutes. And then fun. is allotted 5 minutes and 46 seconds of that 30 minutes, so we’re now down to what… 24-25 minutes, and it’s like Noooooooooooooooooo pleeeeeeeze Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Don’t take away 5 minutes and 46 seconds from us!!!! Some random thoughts regarding this: Just before the show started, I felt the equivalent of stage fright as if I was going to sing with Queen. This made me realize that I am not merely enjoying Adam's performances as a viewer/listener, I am using him as an avatar! I am getting pleasure when he gets things right (which is nearly 100% of the time), and I feel the same pain when he gets something wrong as if *I* did something wrong in front of a large audience. I am projecting myself into his body and living a parallel life as a performer I can never be (I don't have 0.0001% of his singing abilities although I have inherited a pretty good ear from some classically trained people in the family). It surely has some parallels to how people invest in characters from soap operas, dramas or reality shows... If I could be a superhero, I would like to be Superman (just not the one from "Man Of Steel" ) . If I could be a singer, I would like to be AFL! I am somewhat glad that there was another guest included in the set though. Not only did it provide a sense of contrast (here is the best singer Nate knows, and here is Nate himself, whoever has the ear should listen), but it also shifted the attention from Adam being a guest of Queen to Fun being the guests and Adam being the actual singer of Queen who takes a break to let the guests play a bit... The act was billed as "Queen+Adam Lambert", and there was a lot less discussion about why Adam was there as he appeared as the organic part of the collective - composed, relaxed and musically perfectly fitting - while Fun appeared as the fans that felt blessed to even be there with their heroes. So everything is a matter of a point of view. I usually skip the STL part when watching the concert videos simply because it hurts my ears a bit, but I appreciate what it did to the total perception of the act for the viewers and for the media - it emphasized Adam's qualities and did not take away from him anything... I also mentioned once that I did not like AOBTD or CLTCL in London and I wasn't looking forward to hearing them in Vegas. I am taking this back, Adam has improved by leaps and bounds and these two are now together with WWTLF my favorites from the new concert! Now if he would just do Runnin' live with this low register, I could go die happy... Krypto, this is all so true. Plus it gives Fun's fans a chance to experience the power and grace that is Adam Lambert. I hope they also got to hear him perform the next night with his other band Maroon 5.

In all seriousness.....I think a lot of Adam's performance was dictated by his footwear. His freedom of movement was inhibited...he couldn't bounce around easily. But I felt he got it right. What I wanted for him was a dignified, vocally great, performance in as near to his natural beauty as possible. I know little but I felt, and still feel, this was his best way to change opinions and create new positive ones in very casual, non- invested viewers. Job done. Job done, indeed!!And I think you might be right about the footwear!! The man was wearing the equivalent of 4" stilettos, and those pants were.... I dunno... sort of thigh-gasping. Not a lot of leeway for gymnastics. LOL And yet, he road that motorcycle. :D

Just played the beginning of the set again and noticed I forgot to comment on the new BoRap breathing. Did anyone notice the change in "Mama-ah"? Like a sigh after the word? It makes it so much more expressive! Great stuff! I remember that one of Adam's colleagues and supporters was once sued because of that technique! (let's see if anyone knows what I am talking about ) (Edit: Here is a documentary, esp. minute 8)

Pat H @pattihum@hooplapf Amazing!! Jaw dropping vocals! And his charisma, swagger, confidence.... OMG!! This says it all doesn't it - about his glorious performance. And "swagger" - that was the word I was trying to say all day long yesterday. This man has swagger out the wazoo now - powerful sexy wonderful swagger. He doesn't have to do OTT sexual antics - he oozes sex with every move. Yes - confidence and swagger - that's our beautiful boy.

the pics are great, but check out the body language of a few of the men (crossed/closed off arms) in the audience. I think their masculinity is challenged! it seems like the official <30 min video chops off some songs weirdly at the end, ie they skip some parts.
