God, I love this. For multiple reasons.
First of all, anyone who attempts to sing a Queen song has to accept the challenge of taking the masterpiece that the band initially created it and make it their own. I've learned this firsthand, being the vocalist of a Queen tribute band. Let's just accept it, there will never be another Freddie Mercury, duh. Such an incredible talent with an amazing presence. But every time I've seen Adam Lambert perform with Queen, he's done an impeccable job of making the songs his own and suited toward his own vocal strengths and abilities, rather than trying to change his own sound to fit Freddie's. Also, as a singer, I can't go without commenting on Adam's vocal techniques. SPECTACULAR. His use of breathing, vibrato, dynamics. He's able to pull off a level of technique that very few vocalists can while performing live. And hell, he's running his butt off all over the stage

Lambert was right on, he's got the 80s rock voice and his vocal range is wonderful. However, this "Fun" guy was so flat and off-key, I had to skip over him. He doesn't have the ability to sing Freddie's songs, it's out of his range and he's yelling to make up for it. Amazing concert overall. Must've been awesome to be there.

No one can replace Freddie. Adam is not Freddie and he is not trying to be. It's just great to be able to go to a Queen Concert again and have a front man who can at least hold his own.

Just heard about the tour yesterday. What a wonderful opportunity for you and all involved Adam. A concert tour guaranteed to keep the audience on its feet from city to city. Not a bad way to spend a few months. It has been a great pleasure watching your emergence from that very first Idol performance to today. Who doesn't love a good success story? Don't know you but by golly, you make me proud just the same. Congratulations, hard work and a tremendous attitude pay off.

The term 'hater' implies that only those with positive opinions should have the power to post. And that is incredible BS. Again. Adam could have done so well in his chosen path then found a Rock and Roll dream. And pursued it. As did Freddie. I was not a fan of Adam's. But I am now. And I saw Freddie more than a half-dozen times at the Garden. Freddie would have been proud. I go back to Sheer Heart Attack. Let those that can go back as far then judge. ADAM, YOU ARE VERY WELCOMED INTO THE QUEEN NATION COMMUNITY AND GOD BLESS!!!!!!.
