I agree AI Finale QAL performance would be a great chance to tell a special AI story. Also that part of the rehearsals for QAL may take place in the US, especially for the stage choreo and tech aspects. But I'm in doubt that Brian would fly over for AI and fly back the next day. He has an appearance scheduled on May 23, talking about the Diableries. Well that kind of knocks THAT out - at least for the finale.

The event is in the evening on the 23rd. www.diableries.co.uk/2014/04/brian-may-takes-diableries-to-hay-festival/It would not be that big a deal to get from LA May 22 to be back for this book event. It is around 11 hours from LA to London with many non-stop options. It is an overnight flight so pretty easy -- specially in first class. I just doubt they would come over for it unrelated to any other schedules. **** Whatever else, it is not happening. I just would be cool.

Sorry koshka, the link to that article is weird! When I first saw mention of it on twitter I couldn't see it at the link either and then googled it myself.... presto..... complete article. When I then linked it here...... I followed the link back to check and could read the whole article, so left it.
Thanks Q3 for pasting the whole thing and saving me the trouble.

I think it was SophieB's story, talking about EMAs performance. (My favorite moment as well - it was first time I heard Adam. And fell in love. Forever! ) The greatest, heart stopping moment for me was seeing Adam's silhouette in the dark, on stage with Queen at the EMAs in Belfast (Scotland! LOL).... For days we had all been wondering what his role with them might be; how many lines he'd get to sing; how many other performers would be on stage too.... And then, suddenly, all hopes came true - and more. It was all Adam and what a great job he made of it! This was extreme Adam watching for me - I'd tried to get a livestream all night and it burst onto my computer screen just as Selena Gomez was introducing them. I couldn't believe how lucky that was. I was in tears of joy before the camera turned to them. It didn't matter that Adam's voice had to contend with a German football commentary on some other tab I'd opened in my desperate search for the EMAs.....I didn't dare turn it off in case I lost the livestream. Then, not just one song.....it was the most emotional thing. I remember thinking 'you'll be ok now, Adam'.... A few months ago I went back and skimmed the thread for that night - it made me laugh and cry all over again. All 140 something pages of it. Good times. If anyone is bored with the lack of activity at the moment, take a moment to revisit that thread...and the old friends there.

I love the sound wave picture - took it as avatar - hope no one else already has it. There are 100 different ones!! And I think you are the only one who has it as an Avi. ** I actually own 2 of these -- and have them up in my office. No one but an major Adam fan would know what they are so I can remain stealth at work where I need to be with no issue. But I know what they are. Makes me smile to see them.

What an introduction - it really couldn't have been better... It was a very special moment for me - it was the moment I felt his future was assured. But that one performance has had even greater significance for you so I give up my claim to this as 'my' most momentous performance and give it to you.
