outmagazine Out Magazine Out's 2011 Power 50 featuring the most powerful gays & lesbians in the US (including Apple's Tim Cook at #1) is now up: bit.ly/gR7OSk3 hours ago 43. Adam LambertMUSICIAN, 29 With American Idol little more than a memory for Lambert, the singer’s 2009 debut album still managed to garner more than 800,000 sales, thanks in large part to singles like “Whataya Want From Me” and “If I Had You.” Whether fans will be around to gobble up his self-proclaimed “less camp” sophomore album when it drops later this year is another matter. Previously 5th Holding a grudge much OUT?? Sorry but #43??? Perez is #20 & Shepard Smith (#6)!!! SS is out? Fiddlesticks. I had no clue he was gay. What has he done for Gay rights? And no Rickey Martin? Odd.

I saw on twitter that they also left out Chris Colfer - the odd omissions (and stuff like Perez) make this list seem far less significant than it used to be.
