What if what the DJ meant was: "Oh, geez. How ridiculous to be upset about a mom painting a boy's toenails pink. I'm so tired of people thinking that that, or anything, is gonna "make" someone gay. As if that's how it works, as if being gay is terrible. Yeah, I bet that's how it all started for Adam Lambert, right? Eyeroll. People can be so silly." Isn't that a possible interpretation based soley on the text and the fact that he tweeted it to Adam (he did do that, right? Or do I have that wrong?) I had no doubts about what I thought of Mike Catherwood's "humor" and why it wasn't at all funny to me. But this comment . . . I don't feel certain at all (the whole lack of context). Well, it isn't too important any more, it seems, Adam has got it all nicely wrapped up and made the important bottom line observation that parents should encourage their children . . . to just be.
