What?????? I am afraid to click on that link! She is bringing PF back? What is up with that? I mean, after all this time, and after leaving us all hanging out in cyberspace, and now she is bringing PF back? Somebody please explain this to me! I'm pretty sure she means she might put the blog part back up, but I don't expect to ever see the old forum again. Frankly, I've moved on. Glad you guys are staying.  I didn't get to Planet Fierce until right after the shut down. I kept checking back, but no dice. Now that I've found you ex-PF'ers here, I hope you don't go back. It's so comfy here. :-/ |

It's so comfy here. :-/ Yes, this is an instance where you can't turn back the clock. We've laughed, cried and came to terms. We've moved on and set up a new home. There's just no need for another except to access the archives. It's like a TV series that ran its course and this is the sequel. You can't just resurrect the past and go back. |

I just want access to my Planetary stuff.
I have a fondness for Rowe - but I think she's being a bit clueless about how upset people were when the Planet imploded so unexpectedly.
The way I see it, I think Planet Fierce started getting too big for Rowe's comfort level and then she utterly panicked when MJ (over at mjbigblog) got sued for content and decided to settle for an undisclosed amount versus fighting in court. Rowe was terrified of getting sued. Heck, Rowe worried endlessly about all sorts of legal issues at PF, and then when the jackassess over at whatever-that-publication-was started throwing lawsuits around without even "cease-and-desist" warnings...well there was Rowe's worst nightmare. But instead of being transparent about what was going on, she threw the Emergency Off switch at PF, buried her head in the sand, and didn't want to talk to anyone about what had happened.
As I said, I like Rowe, but while I comprehended her reaction and the initial shutdown of PF, I was still bewildered by the direction she took. I think reopening PF now unfortunately falls under the category of "too little, too late".
