If one wanted to reach other opera lovers in the US, is there a radio station that caters to that market? no clue, but a very interesting question and I think I see where you are going. I don't know that the station is just for classical music, they seem to play different types..........

OK, I'm going to be completely open. I remember Pat Ryder articulately explaining that she has struggled with depression. I remember this very clearly because I too have struggled with depression. So, I was impressed by her openness. I can understand being overwhelmed by an increasing responsibility with something you feel you cannot keep up. You can feel a little like you are drowning. I have sooo been there. That being said. There were moments of sheer genius in that forum, extremely special moments when people shared incredible insights from their world. These were treasures and I feel that they have been stolen and not returned. It is the destruction of beautiful library. I moved on and do not dwell on loss. However, since she is bringing back something called planet Fierce with all of the beautiful Fierceness of any voice other than her own cut out, I feel angry. I do think there needs to be a sense of responsibility to the people who were a part of the forum. When you run a forum it is not your forum. It is of the people and for the people and you are a part of a community. I feel there was an imperial take-over and a culture was destroyed. I truly mourned what was lost there. Beautiful, witty, clever communication during the first experiencing of our Adam Lambert phenomenon. If part of what was there is still there, we should be able to go back into the site and retrieve parts. All of those who shared in the PF experience deserve that. I do not know what was going on in Pat's life and I am an extremely empathetic person but unless she does the right thing and lets someone go in there and retrieve an ethical line has been crossed. I am surprised by the strength of my own emotions regarding this. I did feel something precious was stolen. Is there a valid explanation? Perhaps. Was any effort made to offer such an explanation? Not yet. Where are the voices of those who were a part of the planet called Fierce? How can it be called Planet Fierce when the Fiercian library was destroyed and there is no talk of digging up the remains. I believe Pat said that Planet Fierce was returning after a "hiatus" planetfierce.com/blog/

Mayumi introduced me to Planet Fierce when I met her at the Tabernacle concert and that contact eventually led me to bamafan and needacoke. I only lurked at PF, but felt a real loss when it met its demise. I was very relieved when I found all of you again at Atop. Although I still don't post much, I am here every day even if I only have time to just scroll hurriedly through the thread. And this the only place I have ever felt comfortable enough to post at all. This is where I go for my Adam touch everday. Q3 and all the rest, you do a great job. I plan on hanging here. justwishin This bad weather today has worn me to a frazzle ! Y'all have had it a lot worse down there than we have in North Bama. Hope y'all are OK! But Tuscaloosa..... :(

PS. Q3 is a true treasure. The Fierce is about the community and the Fierce is with Atopia

There are only 3 things I would like from PF. 1) The FS thread 2) The Gridlock thread 3) Halfie's essays.

I am trying to become a stronger person, and have been working with a personal trainer. I think I told you she was impressed with the GNTLive cd when I played it for her a couple of weeks ago.. and decided to gift it to her from itunes. I had no idea if she would actually watch it.
Yesterday during our workout I again put the live cd into her player.
Well... interestingly enough, she HAS been listening/watching-- apparently a lot.
She kept stopping her countdown to say-- "Oh, I love this song!" "This one's one of my favorites!".. this from a person who previously had no clue who he was.
This time she recognized quite a few of the songs and commented on them while I suffered (but celebrated on the inside)... every once in a while she got that glazed, "active listening" look on her face (I'm so glad I'm not the only one) and had to snap herself out of it. Hee.
After she killed me-- I mean, after our wonderful workout-- I removed my ipod. She immediately replaced it with hers, which was set to the GNT live!!
I hobbled out the door to the strains of Soaked. It almost made the pain go away.
I think I got her. World domination... soon. Soon.
