With the caveat that Mary Austin is little more than a name to me, I found the article....odd. And Mary herself as a bit simplistic. Yeah, I read the comments too and ...odd is a good word for it. She's held on for way to long and is living in a museum.

I think Adam is looking and sounding greater than ever. However, he was gorgeous and sounded amazing in 2012 when QAL played Hammersmith. Why was he looked at askance and barely accepted by many in that iteration, whereas the accolades and praise are unbelievable this time? Granted Glamberts can explain in great detail what is different about every single performance. They would notice. But the general public and the media? What is so markedly different and superior this time around? Was it the PR and marketing work? The iHeart festival? I don't get it. I am thrilled to see Adam accorded the acclaim he so deeply deserves. I guess I should not look this gift horse or media horse in the mouth, huh? Every single day I've been wondering this exact same thing. I don't get it, either. I firmly believe Melvin is what did it. Simple. Ever since Melvin came along I noticed the tide changed. Adam has gotten better vocally, performance wise and more confident but he always had the talent. I believe the public couldn't get past the image. The glitter, makeup etc... Before I used to see comments like "ugh, I just can't get passed his look" to "OMG, Adam's looks hot. Looks and image matters in the music business. Adam looks the best he has ever looked.

Wish I had been here yesterday for this discussion of Adam's improvement but real life intervened :(

Wish I had been here yesterday for this discussion of Adam's improvement but real life intervened :( Don't, stop us now. Havn' a good time, havn' a ball. I do most recent posts so even old threads seem current to me. We could probably bring it over into today's regular thread too. What I see in Adam's performances now is a man who continues to grow within his craft - always fine tuning and enhancing his presentation. He IS a showman.

I know I'm late but can I still participate in the song-title game? Here are my $ 5 ... ... and my suggestion would be: Mirror of my soul

My song title guess; 'I see through you' Curly, if you're putting money down on this, put a $ in front of the wager. I like your guess!
