OK, completely aware Adam in no way used this term as an insult. Haaate the term fish being used for feminine because of the source of its use for women. Calling a woman a name based on the smell of her genitalia (for women that don't wash) is deeply gross and insulting and that is the source. I don't care if it is cool in the gay world. If a similar term, sourced a similar way, were being used for gay men, it would be considered a HUUUUGE insult. Needs to go the way of "nigger." It is amazing that whenever people point out that something might not be respectful they are labeled too sensitive, too easily offended. I just want people to look a little further. SEE. really SEE. I agree. Thank you for saying this so well!  |

I agree. Thank you for saying this so well! On the other hand, "too many fish in the sea" implies something else entirely. I agree that Adam did not mean the type of fish that you related it to. There are other ways to interpret this, and I don't know what Adam's frame of reference is, so I give him the benefit of the doubt. I thought it was hillarious, and was not offended in the least. |
