Maybe we should live blog the concert that isn't happening. After all we've all been through "Best concerts we never watched" so this would be the next logical step. LOL Who's up for One Vision? Where's dancy? We need dancers, too.

Hi everyone!! I just got back home from Brussels. Figured it would be better to get drunk here, instead of sitting in a restaurant there feeling like we would be at the wrong place. Ever since watching the last part of the stream yesterday I was worried. Dreamed about Adam all night. And this morning checked my messages until the last moment when we checked out at the hotel. And until then, everything was allright. But I couldn't shake the feeling of something being wrong, so after a while I decided to use my international roaming pack (expensive!) after all. And I checked twitter exactly 53 seconds after Brian's cancellation message. It wasn't a surprise. And at first I was relieved. Adam isn't going to sing through it. He can stay in bed and get better. And that is still the biggest feeling for me. He is important, his voice is important. But I am also very very gutted. I should be looking at that curtain right now, not sitting in my own living room. And this was probably the only chance to show my husband what Adam is capable of. They are not rescheduling, so that one chance is gone now. I could use some hugs.... BUT I understand very well why they cancelled, and it is the right decision and I absolutely don't feel like Adam has let us down. It just sucks that he got ill. For everyone. I hope Adam will take his time to get over this, and go on to have a wonderful tour with loads of fun. Sending hugs your way. As much as we know this was the right call for Adam I would be devastated if I was missing the show.

Bronchitis is a symptom, not a disease -- it means he has an inflammation of the lining of his bronchial tubes. Adam does not have chronic bronchitis, what he has is acute bronchitis most likely as a result of the cold or virus he has had for a while. It usually take 2 to 3 days for bronchitis to respond to treatment -- and Adam's next concert is in Milan on Tuesday 2.10.15. If they diagnosed it in Frankfort (probably after the concert or they would not have let him perform), he as enough time to rest, let the drugs work and recover before he has to perform again. I am not a doctor but I have had a lot of personal experience with bronchitis -- almost enough to get a degree in it. Unfortunately I'm all too familiar with the old bronchial ick myself. Over the past six years or so I've been prone to it. Having only just gotten over a 5 week bout with severe bronchitis, I feel Adam's pain! The bad thing about acute bronchitis is that in 90% of cases it's viral, not bacterial, which means it doesn't really respond to antibiotics. But there are some things he can take (prednisone, a steriod, for example) to help fight the inflamation. I can't imagine having to sing as Adam does while fighting this--the coughing gets so bad I often feel like my stomach is coming up through my mouth (sorry, TMI, I know). And when I get this, it seems to coincide with laryngitis, too, so I lose my voice. And Codeine or no Codeine, if you're coughing that badly, sleeping can be tough, because it gets much worse when you're horizontal. The best and really only thing to do is drink drink drink drink. The good thing about bronchitis, though, in my experience, is that you can actually feel pretty human while you have it, after the first day or two, just the incessant coughing is a pain, and the nights are rough. But of course with any disease the symptoms manifest totally differently in different people. In any case, here's hoping "bronchitis" is just a stand in for a nasty bout of something that's less lingering--Q3, can't say your recovery time-table matched my experience. But as everyone has said, Adam's in terrific shape, and obviously has champion lungs, so if anyone gets over this quickly, he will. I'm not worried at all about him in the long run, of course, I just feel terrible for the Adam and the band, and even worse for all the fans, that this show has been cancelled. Hope it's the only one.

Like many, many others I went toa Queen Plus Adam Lambert concert because of Adam..Queen said they wouldn't appear with anyone else but Adam..so there you go.. Exactly! "Better than nothing?" Only if you think Adam is not an essential part of this tour! Sorry, but I find that post just wrong for an Adam Lambert board, when Adam is ill. I Mys*&@^#r, did you just accidentally delete your account? Where have you gone?

Thanks, but no. It was painful to watch the stream live, as it became more and more apparent how sick Adam was. The good news? He was not trying to "sing thru" and pretend there was nothing wrong. If he had, his voice would have cracked badly and he would have gotten hoarse to the point he couldn't produce a note. He would also have had coughing fits, probably. No, what vocals I heard on the stream were properly sung and without discernible strain. A very smart singer. The changes in the melodies and the omissions of the glory notes were done thoughtfully and musically. Some were similar to how Freddie pitched melodies lower for live sets. The performance was not sub-par in any way, and he was a very good showman and singer throughout. But it was almost like it wasn't Adam at times, if you know what I mean. He was missing the spark. Missing the joy. And missing the nuances, power and resonance that make his voice so unique and wonderful. Someone unfamiliar with Adam could watch the video and thoroughly enjoy what was there. I would watch and know what was not there, and what a struggle it was for Adam to push thru and make the show go on. I would suffer sympathy pangs. I think I will just go to my playlist of the best of the QAL European tour for today instead. Or, finish cleaning the bathrooms. Ugh.

Holly Molly! Nobody is digging Adam's grave! Adam is young, fit, and has a pretty remarkable history of good health. Queen fans and Adam fans could join together and help with the singing and clapping. Adam fans could do the dancing parts. Keep Killer Queen, and ask for volunteers to sprawl on the chaise lounge. I can see it now... Too funny -- I can see it now!! Doctor: You need to get plenty of rest and drink plenty of liquids. Water is best. Adam (wheels turning): Can I lay on a couch? Doctor: Sure. Just keep it low key and keep warm. Adam: Oh, so I should drink water, lay on a couch and keep warm. Adam to production team: The doctor said I should stay warm. Is there any way to work some fire into this number?
