Yeah, well, I was at Kent State during 2 of those years, so have very mixed emotions. My husband was on football scholarship, but in off season was a cop. Because everyone knew him, got lots of scary phone calls middle of the night. I'm not one of the "end justifies the means" people. And it was weird time for music, one night we'd have Robert Goulet appearing, next night it would be Jimi Hendrix. Oh, and about Dylan, I appreciated him more as a lyricist than a performer. By the way, boycotted anything James Michener (and I was an English teacher) for 21 years because of his bullshit book on Kent. Taking a clue from Adam and venting, which makes him sound cute and smart and me sound like a psycho.... if the shoe fits! And I can say with all honesty cuz I know savvy that she is most definitely psycho...but in an awesome way! You crack me up! Ha, Ha, have to start posting under an assumed name.

OMG - went on my rant and missed Adam's Twitter rant. ILHSFM
Savvy, I think change is hard. Having a football playing, cop hubby put you in a different place than the protesters for sure. All I'm saying is that I love Dylan. YMMV

i wonder if he would have said anything if they had not chased after Sauli? Maybe not. How many times have we seen him finally speak up about the behavior directed at friends and family, after ignoring some BS that was directed at him? He is fiercely protective of the people he cares about. Just one of the reasons I love this guy.

I'm busy here at work but just wanted to pop in for a minute. But I do have to go against the flow here on Bob Dylan. To this day when I hear his old recordings (when you could understand every word) it takes me back to an amazing time in history. I was a teenager, but still felt that a major change was happening. People were questioning everything, not the least of which was Viet Nam, but also the dominance of the white male. Women, Blacks, Hispanics and gay folks were all speaking up and being heard. His music spoke to what people were feeling and believe me, the feelings were intense and kind of scary. But it felt good to be part of something that just might make a difference.....and it did make a difference. So yeah, it wasn't what we played when we wanted to dance, or when we fell in love and no one was saying wow, he sings 4 octaves, it was much different than that. Apparently it doesn't translate to later generations but I hear those songs and I transport back to a time and a place of youth and hope and change. Marching against Prop. H8 brought back a lot of those feelings, too. Yes. That's exactly what Bob Dylan's music does to me, too. Takes me straight back to my hippie protesting days and the intense feelings of "a change is gonna come." Amen, sistah.Wooo so many wonderful posts about Dylan!. Thank you seoulmate and 8toinfinity and midwifespalfor saying how I feel about Dylan.

That’s Adam Lambert rocking a goatee in my blurry pic from the queens’ dressing room. And you can see the divine Miss Stacy Layne Matthews holding court. And that’s the back of Raja in the fierce raggedy white outfit. @logotv Photos! I thought his words were inspiring and that was what I loved and appreciated most about his music. His words made me just feel the energy of change that was flowing through that period of our history. And good for Adam calling out some fan boundaries.

From the girl with the video camera last night: On Tuesday 26th April 2011, @the_Carrot said: @adamlambert Sorry that the video camera was a bit much. The truth is I had it there because I wanted to film me asking you a question and then your answer (I try to ask all my favorite musicians the same thing, like a signature question). I'm also someone who likes to re-live things, which is why I try to record as much as possible, and I can understand why that can be overstepping boundaries and I'm sorry about that; I have unlisted the video from Youtube. It was never my intention to take it too far, and besides the video camera I don't think we did; we were just fans excited to see their idol and asked for a picture with, which you said you were willing to do. Next time I see you, if there is a next time, I'll stick with the digital camera for pictures, if it seems appropriate. Please just know that we're not crazy stalkers, we love you to death and do respect your privacy. P.S. Now is there anything you can do to make the glamily stop HATING on me so much? Haha ;P www.twitlonger.com/show/a3joke

Adam is going on a following spree! Wal, how can you tell when he follows someone new? If you look at his twitter page (I am using PC), on the right side of the page, there is a "Following 341" with a row of twitter profiles below it. Everytime he adds someone, a new image will show up on the 1st of the row, that's when I notice. #nottryingtostalk BTW there is no way I can know if he unfollows someone, though.
