LambertUK Adam Lambert UK Moscow OKs First Gay Pride March - On Top Magazine - bit.ly/g8obSb -- Hmm, this co-incides with Adam's concert date, doesn't it? 44 seconds ago "This year's authorized May 28 march will take place between 1PM and 3PM at Bolotnaya Ploshchad." As much as I wish the organisers luck with this parade - but I hope Adam stays away as far as he can from this event. During the last (unsanctioned) events, visitors have been attacked and injured - and the police did nothing to protect them. I am also very uneasy on the music festival - this is a typical rock concert (Korn and The Prodigy are scheduled) with a main audience of white, straight and (not all, but many) homophobic guys. This is definitely not Adams audience. I really hope he will play a "normal" concert where his Russian fans have the chance to enjoy him. Sometimes you wonder what is going on with festival organizers. The one my son is playing in Sweden has Bob Dylan, Robyn, Lincoln Park,The Strokes and a lot of other random genres thrown together. We were just laughing about that last night.

I guess the tasche/goatee is still a topic of conversation so I want to state my opinion in case there's a poll. I like it. Not for the long haul of course but for now it's fine with me. He looks sexy, cute and handsome no matter his "do". This adds a bit of intrigue and sophistication. I'm easy. Just saw carla's concern about the Moscow concert. I'm pretty certain he will do a "normal" concert - more like the Radio gigs he did here. I doubt he would do anything similar to GNT. You want a poll? Here is one in Germanys biggest teeny magazine: www.bravo.de/stars/news-video/hot-or-not-adam-lambert-mit-bartAt the moment "not" is winning.....oh and I lied when I said nobody knows AI - they mention him as "American Idol" contestant! And while you are at it, on the right side there is a "Bravo User Charts" - Adam is there with "Sleepwalker" on No. 4, please click! As cheesy as it may sound, but I am happy that Adam is mentioned and reported there on a regular basis with Bieber, Gaga, Rihanna etc. The fans know him and BRAVO will be reporting when his new music is out. I hope you are right concerning the Moscow concert.

Since it's slow I'll bring this up -
I know you all were watching RPDR last night. I wasn't because I don't get LoGo :( So I watched American Experience on PBS. Covered the Stonewall Uprising in 1969 and what led up to it. I was around in 1969 and was apparently clueless about the full extent of the horror going on. In retrospect I'm ashamed. All I can say is thank GAWD Adam didn't have to face this ugliness. It's bad enough now - much worse then.
Anyone else watch this?

Chunkey I agree....neither Jennifer or Adam would have been signed to a major label. And I really agree about these stars & celebs dissing idol. More than likely they would have been there in a heartbeat when they were looking to break in. I truly think it disingenuous at best. I remember when Hootie and the Blowfish used to be in Myrtle Beach all the time. Our college age friends hung out with them all the time and it was years that they played the small clubs. It was so exciting when they finally had a hit record, and of course now Darius is big in country music, but it took them forever to "make it." It's so easy to make blanket statements about what you would or wouldn't do, but push comes to shove, most would do what Adam did, work hard, try to come up the established way, then grab the lifeline that is American Idol. I'd like to meet the person who would give up on a dream because they thought a reality show was beneath them. Don't think there are that many purists in the world, let alone the entertainment industry. Not only that, the show gives you a platform, a year of publicity and push, then it's up to you.

evie1512!!! I went to the doctor this afternoon and when I was walking out of his office through the reception and waiting area, I heard the radio playing quietly in the background. Just a couple of chords from a guitar... but I knew immediately I knew that song! I stopped to listen more closely, and, oh yes, it was WWFM! Just the end half of it, but I had to stay and listen to it. I almost started singing along, forgetting I was not at home Brightened the day nicely!

Sorry for OT, but I know many here remember this artist. (and kinda not OT, cause lyrics of this song make me think of Adam.) Just getting ready to close laptop and saw this: Sad. She spent her last decades taking care of her disabled daughter...but I will never forget her beautiful songs/voice. TheSpindleshay #NowPlaying Poetry Man youtu.be/7OxTVxGhHFM RIP Phoebe Snow. Fuck fuck fuck Phoebe Snow and Maria Muldaur are two of my all time favorite artists. Love this video. Oh, and just wanted to add my vote to the #bobdylanisoverrated# club.

I have never watched Idol, but I agree with all of you that say it's a great way to get noticed and get a start for a career. After getting enough notice then it's just if you're good enough and play you're cards right year after year like any other artist out there you'll make it. Some make it and become big and some will be forgotten after few years. Also I'd like to point out that even though I don't watch Idol I've heard of Simon Cowell, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, but I have never ever heard of KD Lang. I love KD Lang. I think she was reacting more to Simon Cowell and the idea of the manufactured artists people say are being created now. I hope I didn't offend you and KD Lang. I'm not a big fan of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, but I've heard of them and have been able to find out if they make the kind of music I like to listen to. I don't know if I'd like KD Lang or not, but now I can check out and see and that is by implication due to Idol. So I think it's a good thing there are these things that get artist noticed, even if it's from an interview where Idol is mentioned. Because if there hadn't been that interview there is a huge probability that the situation would have stayed the same and I would not have ever heard of KD Lang.

See but does Adam have a choice to eliminate the Idol mentions when he does promo in the UK? I can see how he himself may not bring it up, but it still wouldn;t stop the tv hosts/interviewers and whatnot from intorducing him as "Idol runner up..." or asking him about the show. Unless of course his management tells them not to mention it but then it would make him look like an ungrateful ass and yeah. It's a tightrope walk for sure--to move away from the show and yet still remain humble and thankful for what the show gave you. If he can break out with one amazing song, just oooone that catches on in the UK he will have a much easier time. Nope, Adam has no control over the Idol tag, in the UK or anywhere else. He seems fine with that though so whatever. If the UK doesn't play him due to being from Idol what can he do? nothing. God No... I've never liked Dylan. I can't understand a word he says. I'm also not much of a Beatles fan *gasp* I completely agree. Idol has found some great singers/artists and for KD Lang or anyone else to dismiss that just seems like bittercakes to me. Trust me, someone like KD Lang would NEED Idol today to make it into the music business and I think maybe that's why she seems so pissy about the whole thing. rant more chunkey...it's HOT ;D
