I could not hear any falsetto either. But several others mentioned there was falsetto in posts earlier this morning.

No one has asked yet, but FYI, "Underground" is a rangy little song. Just over 2 full octaves: C3 to D5. (The Star Spangled Banner is about 1.5 octaves.) How in the world is he going to pull this off live, all that layering. Will be interesting to hear what he comes up with. It would be done with backing tracks or background singers, I assume. That's how he's done it before. Or just leave out the layering.

It's happening! My post last night was a bit premature. They are going for a bang now. I'm crying so happy!!! This means it gets played a lot this week on the biggest radio station here in the Netherlands. Ghost Town is doing great.

WOW... so the child is off to school and I'm finally able to listen to Underground without background talking from a small person. I absolutely love this. I like GT, its creative, current and a good radio song. Underground, however, is a beast. As Lyndsey Parker said... "And I’ve personally been whacking Repeat like a mouse banging against a food-pellet lever in a science lab experiment" I hate to ask this... but does anyone think they electronically monkey'd with some of his lowest notes? We don't get many songs where he is singing multiple lines in a row in such a low voice. Its hard for me to tell. Good question! Glampoon pointed out to me that some of the backing vocals are much lower than the prime melody. Grab those high quality headphones dancy recommended and listen at around :27 when he sings "stolen." The backing vocal echoes the melody , but an octave lower, making it down to an F2. Then, toward the end of the song, after the bridge, he quietly sings "You got me hooked on you, now I'm in trouble," and the backing vocals an octave lower than the lead bottom out at a D2. Now, I think that the lead vocals may be electronically tweaked for a more pop-y sound, but not for range. Adam is truly singing to a C3. We've heard him do that before. Are the backing vocals enhanced? Faked? Someone else? Or can Adam, a high tenor, really sing at the bottom of the range for basses? It's possible. He can sing to the top of the range for mezzo sopranos, after all. Listen carefully with the volume up high. What do you think?

I don't know what is going on but I don't get the option on Itunes to "buy" Underground. I have used the link from Atop to go to Itunes, gone in directly to Itunes, tried searching and nothing works. What is the deal? Anyone have a direct link to the song so I can try that. Same here. And, even when I use the direct link, no option to buy.
