hi again!! It's me LOL
I always feel like I just pop in and out leaving random comments...
Gaga spent 10 million on a video? sorry having not even seen it I can honestly say she's gone off the deep end. Her ego needs to be reigned in. I know she does a lot for charity but in this economy, with school shutting down arts programs and kids being bullied and whatever you'd think that 10 million could've been put to better use than a music video for a song that's not even very good....
As for the touring band, well with enough success and desire Adam can retain the same band. Kelly Clarkson has had the same band since 05 when she launched her first solo tour and actually the same musical director since her debut album and promotion. Kelly obviously makes enough money that she can afford to pay them well enough that during the breaks they don't have to go elsewhere, they can work on solo projects or just spend time with family. Many of Kelly's band members have gotten married and had children since joining Kelly and they are a family.
Personally I think it would be ideal for Adam to work with the same band because they form close bonds and play well off each other, especially Monte and Tommy. However, I'm not attached to any of them so if they cycle out I won't worry about it.

Was it ever confirmed that Gaga's vid cost 10 mill tho? To my admittedly untrained eye it doesn't scream ten million dollars. It doesn't look cheap by any means but I dunno...I have a feeling that is one of those rumors that immediately takes hold. I could very well be wrong...I just don't see how that 10 mill was spent. Besides, 10, 20, 30 mill...whatever...will not make me like the song. Sorry. The visuals in the vid were nice though. I actually liked it better than BTW vid because it wasn't trying TOO hard to be obtuse and bizarre in a pompous way. It just had cool make up and costumes and an interesting plot and some dumb dancing and one smokin Jesus! Could have done without the weird interlude with the waves and shit, but whatever.
Really all you need in a vid is A HOT JESUS! Lol. Adam take notes! Haa

I am sure everyone (band and dancers) would play/dance for Adam if they are not occupied with other gigs. Sasha had a twitter party the other day, one of the question asked if about Adam's next tour. I also remember Tommy said that he would play for Adam. He was asked on his (tumblr ?) account.
fanofadamh Hetty @sashamallory If Adam goes on tour again would you like to be part of it again, If he asks it? 5 May

adam-pictures.com/displayimage.php?pid=11657&fullsize=1Whatever argument Adam is making for whatever he is making it, I think I'd also be convinced. Be honest ladies, even if it wasn't Adam this eye to eye and great body language would have bought at least another hour or so, right? Cup of coffee? Walk on the beach? Discuss our signs? Who will be our next governor? I know right? It's the combo of the possessive yet tender hands (a signature Adam move) combined with the intense your my whole word at this moment while his other worldly eyes focus on you while probably saying something endearingly sweet and corny. No man woman or child could resist. I sound creepy don't I? Regarding the band, I do think it's important to eventually find core band members who learn to gel with Adam and each other. This would not be the case with people who lip sync or rely heavily on backing tracks. But Adam likes to go exploring and without playing an instrument himself he needs to build up a trust/groove with his musicians. Many solo acts keep the same band around for decades. No, Adam doesn't need them and the current band may go through changes but the tighter they get the easier it will be for Adam to be free to improvise. One more thing about the Mary Magdalen situation. For being so religious, I'm surprised that Gaga is perpetuating this myth of MM/whore, it's not like only a few obscure scholars know about the church's hack job. If ever there was a woman who got screwed over by a bunch of men and could use some good PR she has to be at the top of the list. It would have been nice if Gaga hadn't contributed to the myth.

The one benefit I can see for cycling in/out band members, or at least trying out different people very occasionally for different gigs, is if it brings in a new flavor or a higher skill level musically/technically.
I'd love if all of Adam's band members were able to easily riff/improvise with him organically, or play a new encore with very little rehearsal if Adam feels so moved. Not saying that his current band members can't/don't do this, or can't get better/tighter/more flexible with time. It's just that I've seen some other bands/musicians do it with a little more ease.
Also, I'd love to see if when he has the budget, he get's backup singers, as this would also allow him more flexibility and experimentation on stage.
ETA: Lol jinx on the band members jamie.
ETA2: doh! sorry, confused...

Adam used his friends for his Video IIHY..it was such a good move for both Adam and his dancers(friends). Then his makeup artist was Sutan. I think I read that each dancer received about $100 for the shoot..Please Correct me if I'm wrong. IMO the video is really well done and now imitated .Oh by the way the cast supplied their own costumes..Adam is good ,very GOOD
I think Gaga's Madison Square Garden Concert will be on HBO tomorrow night EST 9:00/ Would love to see GNT video on HBO.

Ooh, when did he say this? I've often really wondered about this. I can remember everything I've ever heard Adam say, but I'm not good at remembering where he said what thing. I'm sure somebody else can remember. It's funny because it seems like it is in one of the things I rewatched recently, maybe even in the myspace web chat that Gelly posted, but maybe not. Anyway, I found it fascinating. My husband thinks this way whenever he hears a song as well. he would have loved to direct a MV for Sleepwalker, haha. It was in that very long My Space interview that was posted yesterday.

Rabbitrabbit, That's my secret wish too. I am really fond of all the musicians but would love to see what would happen with some seasoned jam/bue/jazz guys. And a big YES to back up vocalists. I remember being surprised in one interview with Monte where he described the WLL FS experience and he was saying " We were actually improvising right in front of a live audience!" like it was some novel idea and I was actually shocked. I think that song is why love Zac's playing so much. He was so tuned into what Adam was doing and really helped give it shape and power to match that insane vocal. OK now I feel mean. I think the bands great, I just wanted to say I think Iget where you're coming from.
