Well, Calvin & X Amb are far enough back to not worry. It'd have to be a hella lot of missing spins. But I am definitely waiting for the Official Published chart to party. And, am I the only one who feels like it's kind of "anticlimatic?" IDK, I have this weird feeling that #20 & going up in spins would have been a lot more fun than #20 and going down. It's such a weird week and weid time to reach this goal, for me. Sorry, IDK just kind of a melancholy feeling for me? Yeah, but most people won't know it was losing spins, and it will forever be a top 20 hit! Just like Trespassing will forever be a No. 1 album! |

I saw on Twitter today that WBR Finland announced ALN today! |

I am not sure the loss of spins over the last two days is "permanent", it could be the general iHeart related twist...also, hoping that the "we spin only top 20 songs" stations pick up GT , and may be Sirius... do you think it is possible? overall the timing for ALN is perfect imo! |

I am excited for top 20, but sad that the song will be history soon and IMO did not get as far up the charts as deserved. It did however pave the way for another hit song, and the timing with QAL / RockInRio is perfect. On the flip side of that though, sure wish RockInRio didn't fall on the same freakin weekend as iHeart festival. The buzz from the amazing show and the rock GhostTown performance is getting muted a bit. C'est la vie. WBR knows what they are doing. |

I know just what you mean but I am hoping as nica575 says, spins will adjust and there will be modest increases - after all, the spins last week were hardly impressive except I think for one day. At the moment, it does sting to have the first published report after all these weeks with a negative coinciding with its highest position but the long term picture is that the first single was a top 20 song. GT had a job to do and it did it very well. Top 20 here and even better in so many places in the world. And it has longevity and therefore will have impact. I just think of the songs that run and fall down all within a compressed period of time and I can't remember them at all. "My heart is a Ghost Town" will reverberate for quite some time. But fair warning: I will cry when it drops off the list. |
