I just finished talking to Sugaree...she was knocked out this morning for an MRI, which she doesn't know the results of yet.
She was blasted with some more bad news today, though. Her Uncle Albert (Albie--her mom's twin brother, who S was close to) was hit by a car today and died. He lived in Florida, where her mom lives.
The good news is that her mom is going to be able to fly to NY next week to be with her during surgery.
I told Sugaree everyone at Atop is sending her love--and also that some of you/your loved ones have had the same surgery with much success, and I think that brightened her mood a bit. She sends love and thanks back to you all.
The news about her uncle just makes today even worse, though. We didn't talk a long time, but will visit again this weekend.
Her husband gave me the address of the hospital, just in case anyone wants to send a card:
D. Nesbit Winthrop University Hospital 259 1st Street Mineola, NY 11501
ATTN: Neurology ICU, Bed 1
She's a tough bird, but this is a sad time for her. I'm sure she'd appreciate some love. And Atoppers are the best at that...

Big--GENTLE!--hug to Sugaree. I hope by the time you read these messages you will be well on your way to recovering and all this horribleness will soon be just a manageable memory. I'm sorry you've had emotional pains to add to your physical ones. What horrible luck. Get yourself some top-notch pampering as soon as you're well enough to enjoy it, okay? We're all thinking of you.

Hoopla Thank you for the update. How tragic about her uncle. I would love to send her a card but it's Orthodox Easter here and it's impossible to do so. Everything is closed and when the post opens again it will be too late. :( Send all our love and good luck with the surgery.

I just saw Hoopla's post in the News thread & ran right over here. I'm so sorry to hear about your accident sugaree! I have 2 friends who fell down stairs at home (both doing well now) - home is the most dangerous place.
