I'm curious to hear from the people who attended the concert if they noticed many people leaving after Ptx and before Adam's set. I wanted to see the Ptx fans reactions to Adam, so checked out some of their tweets. I assumed that Ptx fans were fans of great voices, so I was surprised that many of the twitter feeds (about 12) that I checked out randomly didn't mention Adam's performance or vocals at all, and some were tweeting about going out during Adam's set to see Ptx at the barriers.. they were signing autographs at the time. They seem to be really passionate fans, but judging from my informal survey, I'm not sure how advantageous this pairing would be for Adam if they were to tour together.. referring to earlier convo about this. Adam sounded really great on periscope. Thanks for the streams! I think I'm with you on this one. I made a point of watching Twitter during and after last night's show, as I did during and after the Buffalo KissMas Bash. From what I saw, I would say that positive Twitter sentiment from non-Adam Fans was more extensive during/after the latter. Just my impression of course. ETA: Adam was particularly fantastic last night as you say Some people left but not a huge exodus by any means. I sat with a family with tweens and they stayed though they were Pentatonix fans. Can't see joint tour as being anything less than awesome but not sure it will happen. I also would not mind a tour with Rachel Platten. She has a compelling 14 year struggle before her break thru with Fight Song which she wrote to keep herself and others up and going. She is just a lovely open hearted person. And the teens love her but for the best reasons. Example: She taught the girl's choir a bit of her song and brought them back on stage to sing with her. They were thrilled and so was the audience.

I love her Fight song. I hear it almost every morning I turn in to my radio while driving to work. Adam still has to fight the Idol meme up to this time, some people think because he was from TV competition show and suddenly become famous he didn't pay his due and fans fight for it for years as well, coz he really was trying to make it for the last 10 years before he went to Idol. So I appreciate people that's trying to make it for years in the industry.

I agree with you on this. We saw RP right before Adam in NYC and she was lovely. Beautiful voice, charismatic and very attractive. Also they are close in age and, as someone said before, have had similar struggles in being heard on radio. I don't know if it would ever happen but I think the idea of them co headlining could be a good one. I'm sure they've met since she's done a few of the same gigs as Adam.

I think you can expect that some people are going to leave unless the artist is the only one on the bill, just like some people are not going to show up and listen to opening acts. It's just to be expected. I would certainly have enjoyed listening to Rachel Platten. Her interaction with the choir is very sweet. I really liked Carly Rae Jepsen at Hidalgo.

Adam said (at 10:03 below): 1. I love this boy beyond rational thought.
2. He takes me there.

Now I'm not intending to start any discussion about the older women demographic, really I'm not. But the woman below? In the turquoise shirt and glasses? Lower left, check her out.
In a world gone mad (imo) and with so many things to ponder sadly and angst about, just look at her.
Happy. Dancing. Feeling the music, in the moment. Loving something, happy. Spreading all kinds of positive.
How can that be anything but wonderful.
I love him for his magic. And for a song about not caring what other people think.
I love him for giving that lovely woman that moment of pure joy.
I love that woman for letting herself dance and be in the moment. Especially to that song.
Shine when you want to shine.
Also, as a bonus, Adam shines pretty brightly with the moves that start at ~1:08. In my opinion.

Yes, I was at the NYC show and was so glad for her when she told her story. She said she was moving to LA the next day. Her duet with Great Big World was really beautiful. Just adding a complete agreement with this. Rachel - PTX - Adam is a great bill. Some (very few) Pentatonix fans left after their set. My guess is that <100 people left. The audience was very Adam fan heavy. Rachel won over the audience and most of the follow and some of the balcony stood for "Fight Song." Many sang along. I am now a fan of hers and a fans of a song I thought I was sick of. Some of the Adam fans near me -- up front -- had never heard of either Rachel or Pentatonix. These were older Adam fans from Idol who only know one pop artist -- Adam. They liked Rachel and PTX a lot. When PTX performed, there were 16 to 27 people (I counted at 4 points during the set) sprinkled around the front of the floor who stood for PTX during their performance. Most of the floor stayed seated but they got a standing O at the end. Before Adam took the stage most of the floor was standing -- I am not sure of the balcony. There was a group of older couples - 8 people in total - seated in rows 5 and 6. The men were wearing business suits and they looked like a group from the country club -- in their 70s and 80s. I assumed they were there to see PTX. They clapped for PTX but never stood up. When Adam took the stage, they stay seated but clapped. Then at the end of Adam's performance I looked over and they were still seated but clapping enthusiastically. Then one really old guy in a very nice suit struggle to his feet for Adam. I asked our usher about them and turns out they are major donors. They were just there for the show and not fans of anyone. I wish I had been closer so I could have talked to them. Some people near me who I thought were PTX fans turned out to be Adam fans. But PTX has a lot of young adult fans -- 20's and 30's -- and the result of this bill was an audience that was great to be part of. My husband attended the Cleveland show (he was not greatly impressed with it), this show and about 20 other Adam concerts. He said this performance was by far the best he has ever seen Adam. I have seen many more Adam concerts and this one was my favorite so far.
